Payne puts up number quite often. It seems I remember him with OKC turning the Blazers into his personal playground a couple of times.
Texas played Houston’s g league team and they have a guy that’ll most likely hit the market this summer in Isaiah Hartenstein that would be a great third center...better than Moses at least.
That's not really a high standard there... He'd be a great target for a cheap 3rd string C. He's under contract for next season (non-guaranteed) with the Rockets though.
yeah that’s why I said most likely..I don’t think they’re gonna keep him. He’s good enough to play in the nba, but for whatever reason Houston doesn’t play him. Maybe he’s not a fit in their system. Too tall or something. Rabb is another guy I wouldn’t mind bringing in.
Pretty good, but the best Blazer in this game was... Jarrett Jack! (Also: am I dreaming or was Tim Quarterman a Blazer for a Summer League or something?) https://gleague.nba.com/games/20200228/SXFTEX/
Brown and Hoard still not getting big minutes even in the G-League, but Brown is scoring more than a point per minute: https://gleague.nba.com/games/20200229/NASTEX/
This isnt about either of our guys, but a guy that’s really looked good in the g league is Cameron Payne. Looks to me like he’s added some muscle. He’s averaging 23 points, 7.5 assists, 2.4 steals with super efficient shooting percentages (39% from outside on over 7 attempts a game) Still only 25. I’d bring him to training camp at least. We need a backup point guard anyway. He’s a small school guy too so he should fit right in. He put up 38 tonight btw
The latest: https://gleague.nba.com/games/20200308/TEXACC/ Hoard and Brown seem to be regressing, just in case this shit sundae of a season needed a cherry on top.
You probably think I ask a lot of dumb questions anyways, but how much scouting goes on at the G-League level? Is it possible theyve been scouted teams kind of know them better now?
