I now have to self quarantine from work for 2 weeks due to my two week vacation in Mexico. Great news, I needed more time off.

When I was a kid and we ran out, my mom would break out the sewing patterns. I used to worry about getting splinters.

It's called "Moon Bread"...Mom used to make it when I was a kid (the smell in the house was incredible when she was baking them)...you can get the recipe in the link from the previous post...I do however deviate a bit from the recipe by adding more cheese and more garlic and slice green olives in addition to sliced black olives. (I was out of green ones when I made this batch) They're great to eat by themselves or sliced and used as sandwich buns/rolls.

Wish we would have, the beach was awesome. Reports are that Mexico isn't taking this seriously though and are still holding large events. I feel it could be worse there than here in a few weeks.

I have friends that just flew to Kona for 10 days. Very tempting!

Just stocked up on food. Should be good for 2+ weeks if shit goes down.

Stores seemed to be semi-restocked with foods. Shortages on paper goods, disinfectant and zinc.

Although they didn’t have the big block of tillamook cheese that was the reason I needed to go lol

Lines weren't too bad, went to Smart and Final which is like a non-membership version of Costco and a higher end grocery near me. Staying the fuck away from costco and normal groceries.

They had several security guards at the higher end grocery (Bristol Farms)

We were at Costco this weekend. It wasn't to bad. There was a line to get in but it moved fast, all check outs we're open so getting out was actually faster than usual. They had everything except the obvious stuff. If you want TP you have to get there at opening and get a voucher for the daily delivery supply. It was surprisingly efficient and orderly.

I went to Winco/Safeway/Target a few days ago. Stocked up for several weeks at least. Lots of frozen dinners, canned foods, and boxed pastas along with the usual supply.
