I had 3 jobs. Magician (canceled gigs), tournament host (tournament canceled), and Uber driver (not safe and will probably be canceled soon anyway; Uber Pool is canceled already). If you're not using your car anymore, I recommend calling your car insurance company to get withdrawn status. I did today and my monthly premium was cut from $385 to $87.
And actually, if my math is correct, at least 100 million people will get it and that adds up to about 3 million dead. That's not good.
Good math? No. You have no idea how many people will or would have been infected. You also have no idea what percentage would die.
My wife's employer is closing all stores thanks to Sisolak but encouraging employees to file for unemployment. Thankfully the owners are Republicans.
Knowing people who died in Hurricane Michael and currently living in the epicenter of where it hit, I will have to strongly disagree with you.
I still have a job, thankfully, since its in healthcare... but man, I am feeling for everyone this affects. It's astounding how this turned our world upside down in literally a week. March 12, 2020 was the real start of it.
Life is a bitch and then you die. I think God that except for the danger of the infection, I've got it made. I can live on half my fixed income and still have substantial savings. My heart goes out to the rest of you who have to put up with all this crap. All I can say is it's not your fault.
On Monday, my Construction Official gave me the lay off. Part time inspectors are on the list. Obviously, I couldn't work from home. This is how municipal towns are dealing with the emergency. Obviously, I couldn't inspect houses and business due to possible infection into me and spread from me. Coincidently, our Governor issued the emergency plans for NJ. My fate was sealed. I will get back, but not now. Personally, I feel that there is more to the COVID-19 than what is told to us. There must be another danger or element, authorities do not reveal.
Bullshit jokes aside, I hope everyone gets through this. I am in an industry that is, and will continue to tank during this. I called my lenders and most all of them are working with people. Maybe try the same?
