In many fights, skill is not the determinant, going nuts is. A guy loses because his heart and breathing rates are out of control. If you can relax a little, you outlast the other guy.
Friends I worked with back then always got together at one house for the fights. Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Leonard, Tyson, Holyfield.
sugar ray had some great matches against these two as well. Those three owned the 80’s well and tyson.
Hmm, some would say its a skill to maintain composure and stay relaxed during a fight. I have to disagree with you.
Sugar Ray Leonard Hit Man Hearns Marvin Hagler Roberto Duran Wilfred Benitez What a great time for boxing!
I totally agree. It's a skill to write ingenious salient analysis in my cogent little pearls of wisdom, a skill to write frivolous disagreement over the definition of boxing skill, and a skill to define phrases like off-season (when we are busy with Free Agency Week and Summer League), vs. off-off season (when we fill the board with ancient grainy videos and new definitions).
