More so than Trump he's my guy. I'm not a fan of Joe, but at least he doesn't have a track record of paying off porn stars, strippers, going bankrupt multiple times, lies exhaustively, isn't a bully and doesn't fancy himself the smartest man in the room when the only time he's the smartest man in the room is in the same room with Eric Trump. And even then it'd debatable.
I'd rather Joe let Trump supply his own rope. Also, I'd rather Joe not say something that Trump would spin in his favor. Don't give a bully any ammo and the bully withers away like the coward they are.
Joe Biden is what he is...a career left of center establishment politician. I think he'll be competent and put a team around him that is competent. That alone is a fairly huge upgrade on Trump. He's not who I'd handpick for President, but he's not an embarrassment either, IMO. The main problem I have with him is that he comes from a bygone era where personal connections and being country club buddies with politicians from across the aisle mattered to some extent and there was some amount of work you could do with the other party. That era's gone but he doesn't seem to realize it--so I don't think he'll have the correct mindset to do battle. That said, maybe it doesn't matter too much--even if he's not an effective policy bully, people like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer will have far more influence over what legislation gets through.
if Joe Biden had been the candidate in 2016, there never would have been a president trump....and the country and world would be in a better place
Newsom. But I'm virtually certain both will be Presidential candidates in 4 (if Trump wins re-election) or 8 years.
@ABM - Personally, I would rather have a gaffe machine who nevertheless happens to be very competent at the workings of government, than an incompetent pathological liar who values money over people.
You'll ban people for $25. Scaling that level of corruption up to the Presidency is disturbing to think about...and intriguing.
Joe is a decent man. Trump isn’t. Joe will bring decency back to the office. He’ll run with a woman (Abrams, I hope- another decent one) and that woman will run for President in 2024;
By my math, AOC will be barely old enough to run next election. Which will probably be like a slogan or something.
