So I pulled for ryan howard and vladimir guerrero yesterday and its awesome to see vlad win a homerun derby. Couldnt think of a cooler guy to win it. tonights the game.. im gonna make sure I catch barry bonds' at bats.. any thoughts?
The 503 ft homerun was just amazing. I know at AT&T they have some $1,000,000 donation to charity if you hit a homerun to the glove in left-center field. No one has even come close, but Vlad's was the closest I've ever seen (It shows the true impossibility when someone can't even get it in a HR Derby) As for the the actual ASG, LaRussa is retarded batting Bonds 2nd and Beltran 3rd. I would definitely switch those two...PS- Finally, Alex Rios & Matt Holliday got some well-deserved exposure during the HR Derby
The Taco Bell challenge was just on. Guy had to hit the ball 280 ft to win money off of a tee. First hit was a dribbler in front of the plate. Second one was a pop fly that didn't make it to the infield dirt, and the last one was a groundball up the middle. The booing was just a great added touch... :HAHAHA: :HAHAHA: :HAHAHA:A lot of pressure on him though...PS- Well-deserved boos for the Dodgers players tooPPS- Also just heard the jets fly over my house from the fly-by
Hitting the ball 280 feet off of a tee is very difficult. I guess since he failed so miserably he may have deserved a booing, but its not like it was an easy thing to do.
I was kind of upset that TLR didn't put in Pujols for the last at-bat of the game. It was a bases loaded, 2 outs, down 1 run situation and I can't think of any other batter that would make a pitcher fear pitching to them in that specific situation. I believe Francisco Rodriguez was pitching at the time and he gave up a couple walks to load the bases. I know the All-Star game is suppose to be fun and there are usually a couple players that don't play in the All-Star game, although selected, but we are talking about the reigning MVP of two years ago not playing one at-bat. I'm just ranting but it pisses me off even more because I thought the NL would win it this year.

I don't understand all the acclaim La Russa gets for being a manager when he does these type of things. La Russa is notorious for overthinking and overmanaging situations and trying out things that go against conventional wisdom. Pujols should have been at-bat, and it has been reported in the news that he was unhappy about not being able to bat last night...Was anyone surprised that Soriano hit that homerun in the 9th? I was just waiting for it...
