Ok. City coyotes are probably very different than the country coyotes I am around.

I'm not eating coyotes. I like them.

I'll kill myself before I eat my dog.

I listened to them howl every night in the country. Never saw one that I can remember.

They run around Vegas eating the rabbits that are everywhere.

Not joking I think I'm more scared of this type of behavior than the virus... I am not in any way saying you're serious or that you would ever do anything like that.
I am saying gun sales have skyrocketed since the outbreak. Suicides have gone up. Often heard people are 3 meals away from anarchy and I believe it. I know everyone says oh if you're thinking about the economy right now you hate human rights, and you don't care about people's health. I see a country with 10m more unemployed people, small businesses in trouble, drug addiction, mental health issues that weren't being addressed before the virus started, and think if they don't figure out a way to get peoples lives sort of back to a "normal" state soon there will be a lot of dead people who never got the virus.
I know personally many people with families who lived pay-check to pay-check and now have no income other than a very meager amount from Unemployment, I have relatives who are already unable to get refills on medications that keep them alive. If this goes on too long there will be people who say my only way to eat and feed my family is to steal it. Yeah I put human life first, and it's more important than the economy, but the idea we can just shut everything down, and take ourselves into an economic depression and it won't cost a heck of a lot of lives is not realistic in my opinion.

I'm still waiting for a political leader somewhere to come out and say. Hey we were all caught sleeping at the wheel with this, but over the last few weeks we've come up with a plan, and some realistic milestones we'd like to hit, here's how long we "think" it will take to hit those and here's our plans to getting there. I know that won't come from our President, but at this point anyone even if it's just made up random crap, it would be nice to see someone displaying a little leadership and to sound like they have some ideas.

Uhhhhh, all the proof you need of your fears being legitimate is to be found if you spend 10 minutes watching road rage videos on YouTube.

Agree with theprunetang, coyotes are very difficult to trap. But...

The best bait to attract coyotes is a dog, not a cat. Not just any dog, a bitch in heat will bring coyotes in from miles around.

Tie the bitch up where you have a good view all around her. Then set up with a good rifle and plenty of ammunition.

    Well, this didn't help much..

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/coronavirus-china-us-flights-430000-people

Some 430,000 people flew from China to US after coronavirus first detected: report

About 430,000 people have flown on direct flights from China to the United States since Chinese officials first disclosed the outbreak of what is now the novel coronavirus to world health officials on New Year’s Eve, according to a new report published Saturday.

Most of the travelers flew into airports in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Newark and Detroit in January. Thousands came directly from the city of Wuhan in the Chinese Hubei province, where the coronavirus originated, the New York Times reported.

The report did not account for travelers who did not fly directly from China and may have come into the U.S. on a connecting flight from the country.

The number of passengers flying directly into the U.S. from China was significantly reduced after President Trump issued a travel ban on Jan. 31 – the day after the World Health Organization declared a global health emergency.

Foreign nationals were barred from entering the U.S. if they had visited China within the past two weeks
    .
Even after the order went into effect on February 2, some 40,000 people – traveling on 279 flights – have arrived in the U.S. from China, according to the analysis from the New York Times based on data collected in both countries.

Those individuals were exempt from the restrictions because they were either American citizens, U.S. passport or green cardholders. Non-citizen relatives were also permitted to enter the U.S., an exemption made by the president to prevent the separation of families......(CONT.)

Doesn't translate into why NY/NJ have been hit so hard while California, which had many more flights, has so much fewer cases/deaths.

Less population density even in cities (LA sprawls, NY stacks), Californians being addicted to cars. Bad generally but fewer people on crowded transit. Bay Area was first to lock down, followed by entire state, several days before New York. San Francisco had closed performances and gatherings even earlier. So we had a head start on social distancing.

When I see an entire page arguing about arguing I think people have cabin fever.

Hard to say. Perhaps, because LA is much more spread out. NY/NJ are very concentrated areas.

what you locked in haste was yankee and i making ground and moving close to an agreement on how we can all debate better.

not all oosts were on the up and up, but show me a thread that is?

there weren't any personal insults or attacks. It was just heated because we were discussing how we can try to better communicate to leave that path open for productiveness.
The real issue here to me is the people who complained and flagged. Complained about what?
Do mods suggest to complainers that maybe they should just move on and start a new productive thread instead of wasting their time complaining?

i have seen soooo many more worse convos in here not get locked, som im perplexed on how people though this one was soooo bad to complain about. Unless those same complainers are the same ones who attack anyone who isnt a Trump hater.

Then it gets further compounded by anOther mod with strong opinions who regularly states his as facts without debate, made a post stating as much and the thread was then locked.
My suggestion is if mods are soo politically heated, maybe they should be involved in political threads or not have the ability to mod i na thread they engage in

    lets put it another way.

how would mods like it if Trump turned off your phones because a few people complained about how nasty some of you are to aNd aBout him????

I got muted when i was trying to be constructive with yankee, regardless of what barfos opinion is of it.
    Didn't sit well.
