A few local restaurants I like aren't going to be opening their doors again. Hopefully some Sushi it doesnt even have to be great Sushi at this point, just good sushi will do...
I spent like 2 1/2 hours on Door Dash, Uber Eats and other apps Sunday / Sat looking for Sushi, couldnt find any... Most of the stuff available was fast food...
Try their grilled King salmon. Very rare to find a restaurant that doesn't overcook their salmon. South Park does an excellent job. Another excellent featuire is their oysters on the half shell. It's almost impossible to find a restaurant that serves it's oysters on the half shell with no shell fragments in it. South Park served them with zero shell fragments in their oysters. Also, the oysters were served with the meat completely severed from the shell. What's worse than trying to slurp up an oyster on the half shell just to find that the oyster clings to the shell. My wife and I loved South Park. Best seafood restaurant we've been in since the Crab Bowl in it's original location on Barbur or the Crab Pot at the intersection of 1010 and hwy 26. By the way, the Crab Pot served crab cakes with a crab gravy that was to die for. The Crab pot was a four star restaurant.
Good Korean restaurants are hard to find in Portland. We find good Korean food in the Lakewood area of Tacoma. There used to be a Korean buffet at the Olympic hotel in Bellevue but I think it's long gone.
Edit: If you want great seafood and King salmon that is even better than South Park's, try Ray's Boat House. Kind of spendy but great ambience and top notch food. Parking is strictly valet parking.
Damn, I envy you guys...we just don't have the selection y'all have...the sushi/sashimi is only fair down here. The best steaks are the ones I grill...and Lanny, I just WISH we could get fresh salmon down here...I love to grill it, smoke it, and occasionally I can find some sushi grade salmon...just gimme a whole plate of raw sashimi, soy with a little wasabi mixed in...and I'm in heaven.
Ahhh, so if there's a lot of banjos, there must also be a lot of banjo players. We also have a lot of other things other than banjos in Georgia too, but you already knew that.
This man Southparks! We love it there, its our special occasion location. Its kind of spendy but their happy hour is not too bad. Love their oysters on a half shell, the mignonette sauce they use is so good that even my wife now likes raw oysters and $7 for 3 happy hour special is not too bad a price for good oysters. Fish and chips are perfection, the shrimp and grits are the best this side of Charleston, even their pizza and hamburgers are great! I've never had the salmon but I will one day and based on their track record Im sure its fantastic.
Yeah, the selection in LA is unbelievable. We usually do Korean BBQ once a month, I love the thinly sliced brisket.
Ever go to Kayne Steakhouse? We were gonna do that for my bro's bach party but ended up at Peg Leg Porker instead.
Nostrana/Oven & Shaker XLB (did take out on Sunday. Awesome!) Mother’s Bistro Assembly Brewing Life Of Pie La Provence Holy Taco And that’s just the first two days......
Actually, no. Heard it was awesome, though! Will have to try sometime. It's just that we have $150 in Jeff Ruby's gift cards and figure we'd use them. BTW, here's an awesome Nashville restaurant! We've been there a couple of times. Very cool concept! https://www.hocnashville.com/
