It wont look like that in the game...but I still like Live just as good as 2K. I dunno, im a big dynasty fan and I dont think the gameplay is all that bad. 2K is fun too though...
Rule one when looking at these previews from Live- always take the screenshots with a grain of salt. The graphics always look pretty in the preliminary screenshots, then everything looks different as the game launch nears. I really wanna know how the gameplay is...
I'd like to see an actual video of the gameplay, because that's where they get you by making little screenshots like this that won't appear in the game. I'm still buying 2K8 because A) IMO it's way better and CP3 may be on it so I got to support my homie.
Lemme give a lil example: I was so excited for Live 05, but, we all know it didn't turn out like that

YES! I don't care about the Kobe graphic since I know it won't look like that in the game, but I'm very happy they did the Staples Center "Lights Out" thing.

we've come a long way from the nba lives I played as a kid. yall think ps2 nba live had bad graphics that's the funny thing.
until I see an actual screen shot of a game in action I dont really pay attention to it. But anyway id rather have a game with good gameplay over a game with better graphics.
I have both Live 07 and 2k7 and I had played Live for a long time and thought the graphics were great, then I tried out 2k7 and at first I thought they were horrible, until I played it more and now I think 2k7's graphics are better if that makes sense.
To me, it's the way the players move in 2K7 as apposed to how the look... In Live you can't really get that athletic motion when your driving to the basket, you just either make a dunk or miss the layup. In 2K7 your able to a lot of different things in the paint and the post up moves are insane. I also feel that the presentation of 2K7 is better even though it's a little phony the way Kevin Harlan and Kenny Smith talk about things. 2K8 > Live 08

Ugh NBA Live is possibly the worst video game ever. The graphids honestly aren't even that good and you have to have the game on PS3 (do they even have games yet?) for the graphics to be as good as they are in these screenshots. It's pretty lame how the players go through each other too.I remember in NBA Live 06, the last Live I got they would always repeat through the game how Paul Pierce was on the Kansas team that lost in the NCAA tournament and how Al Jefferson is one of the hands down worst free throw shooters in the NBA. It was ridiculous.2K Sports is and always will be better. I love the hook shots, the drop steps, the dunks, the shooting motion. Shot blocking. Everything is better.
