I still have the original copy of that LP album that's very collectable...as well as Abbey Road and The White Album...little bit of trivia; the guy who engineered Abbey Road also engineered Dark Side of the Moon....Alan Parsons.

    Yum. Good choices.

Pork chops, eh? Well, that's better than human bodies.

I don't know if you looked into it or not, but some vegetables do well or even better with companion plants.

    Here's a link to

Don't know how well citrus grows up north. When I first planted my lemon tree it didn't do well, hovered between life and death for several months. Then my beloved cat Celia died at ripe old age of 18 and I buried her under the lemon tree. About five weeks later the tree started growing like crazy. About the time it would take for a small body wrapped in cotton towel to break down. I call the lemon tree Celia's 10th life.

My favorite is the tight new bud of a Mr. Lincoln. Mr. Lincoln is the most beautiful rose I've ever seen, A deep red rose whose buds are nearly black.

I have about two dozen roses, just a few blooming. There is one brief time every spring when the entire collection all bloom simultaneously. Only happens once, after that more sequential. A riot of color.

Not so exciting but more practical, planted another crop of carrots, celery, chard, beets, scallions, cauliflower, spinach - have tons of kale & lettuce so not planting more right now. Harvested a handful of carrots.

I got the garden bed worked up this weekend. I found out that the local farmers' market is taking on-line orders for starts and that you can just drive through and they'll load them in your car. We plan to pick some up next weekend.

Just got out of the shower when Lucia ran in and dropped a mouse on the bath mat. I assured her I have plenty to eat, although why someone would prefer boring vegetables and legumes to fresh meat she could not understand. Humans are weird! While I dried myself she ate the mouse.
