It's a Judge Dredd reference about the judge who had to take the long walk....Max Von Sydow played the part
From your perspective, sure. From his perspective it is more like cutting off a foot to save your life. If you are a younger progressive voting for the corporate stooge the DNC pushes on you, you've lost.
More like cutting off a foot to insure a Trump re-election. Also, he doesn't speak for all Sanders followers, and Sanders will throw his support Biden's way.
He didn't say he spoke for all Sanders followers. The likely fact is that most hardcore people who followed Sanders think the same way. He doesn't want them to give away what power they have to force change, if they hold their nose and vote for Biden the corporate owned DNC will do it to them again.
Is it to late for a third party to enter the race? At least a third party could possibly balance out the polarization some, and offer a more viable option to two parties that are bent on zero compromise.
Unfortunately it is too late. This is the issue with independents to run. It takes a lot of money and organization to register for each State. Last election, the third parties were only registered in some of the states, so there was no chance they could win the election.
I'm having a hard time caring what 'most hardcore people' do. There aren't very many of them. Yes, maybe one more term of Trump is exactly what is needed to put a far-left government in power. One wasn't enough, but two should surely do it, right? What an sensible, logical plan. barfo
Very true. That same argument was made back in 2016 with the hardcore conservatives not wanting to vote for Trump. IMO the hardcore wing of the Bernie movement aren’t really Democrats. I don’t think much of them care if their decision not to vote hurts the Democrats. Yes, they are a smaller group of voters, but that can mean the difference in key swing States. Don’t hold me to it, but I think Wisconsin, PA and MI had maybe a couple 100k votes margin between them.
