Does anybody know a really good program to use to mix music and that type of thing? Maybe make beats and all that type of thing?
are you serious...is that what its called? And can you take songs and edit those...like chop n skrew, drag n drop?
yeah FL studio is really nice. when I used to make beats for school (a multimedia computers class), I'd make remixes by taking pieces from other songs by cutting them with audacity and putting a nice beat over it or w/e.Producing makes you appreciate beatmaking way more. You notice basslines, melodies and other stuff much clearer.

He made some pretty good beats with that program.</div>ha, it's fruity loops. no big deal.well, it depends on if you want to make beats, or use a sequencer to make a full song. because I know mac's come with a program called garage band that works pretty fine in terms of sequencing, but if you want to be really creative, it is somewhat limiting.Reason 3.0 is a great, great program, particularly for drum tracks and beats. They have several presets to choose from, and you can edit the sounds in many ways. If you read the manual it's not too tricky, but otherwise it can be confusing, or so I've heard. the only thing is it's pretty dang expensive.I have live, but I have the lite version, and I wouldn't recommend it to be honest. It's really hard to use. after spending a week or two trying to get the controller to work for it, I kind of just gave up.
Well, im very experience in those type of programs....I do alotve media stuff for my school also, but ill like to start out with something simple(and somehting that doesn't take up alotve computer space). Which to use and can I get it from you know where?
umm, I'm sure you can find torrents for this stuff somewhere. but if you want to buy these, just go to a sam ash or some music place, they should have a lot of different programs and stuff like that in a certain section.and most of this stuff isn't quite what you're doing in school. unless you have some really nice, expensive equipment at your school. I doubt your school would have a program like reason or live, tho.
im actually downloading a trial at this moment....ima check it out before I download it for sure. Thx though, if I like it ill hit you up for that link.

So, basicly I made a awesome beat on this demo...sounded alot like old school 36...but it wont let me save it. So im pretty much in love so im deleting the trial now and about to download the one 7goat posted...thx Ghote.
Man, whatever happened to the good ole fashioned double spinners and a mixer? When I was 16 I had 2 turntables, a Gemini mixer, and a microphone. I don't know where the technology is at now, but my instincts are telling me if you can't spin records then you shouldn't be looking for fancy mixer programs.
Southern beat artists chunked the double spinners in the early 90s and picked up the new sh*t...you cant do southern music(unless its chopped in screwer/dragged n dropped) with spinners....too much trill and bass. Your actually better off using a actual instrumental band to make a beat than with the turn tables...
Yo 7goat is it possible for you to get a link for the program ProTools (lastest verision) for Mac not PC.| ProTools is a very good sound mixing program especially for movies.|I need that program to finish my Hegotgame mix.
