Glad we were able to clear that up then.

Lowering the age to qualify for Medicare would probably have been supported by Biden if he thought he could pull it off. Problem is, he'll even have trouble trying to lower it to 60, as it is. I don't think Bernie would have had a chance in hell of getting Medicare for all enacted even if he was elected President.

Do not leave, mags! This is not a request.
Should you leave, I would forever blame yankeesince59 and I like him and wouldn't want to blame him for anything else.
I hope I've made myself clear to both of you. I don't like the bickering between you two but the participation by both of you in here is essential.
As I have written, so it shall be done.

This isn't about what Bernie could get done. This is about what his supporters want and will they support Biden.

Hey, I was just pointing out the fallacy of Bernie's position and why his supporters should come around not whether they will come around.
Actually, I like Bernie's position of Medicare when the time is right. I just don't see it as feasible right now and potentially politically harmful at this time.

I liked him over EW & Bernie. If he selects Klobachar and he stays mentally alert he could still get my vote. However, if he goes completely far left I could sour on him real fast. Ive looked at him as a more moderate reach across the isle guy, same as Klobachar so I hope he keeps that up.

They aren't likely to come around, especially in blue states. A Bernie Bro voting for Biden in CA? Waste of time.

These people want massive change. Not a more polished, even more senile Trump.

    Literally a nicer pussy grabber...that won't sell.

Your right, a pandemic is terrible timing to make sure everyone has health care. We only have money for bail outs.

    LOL that was good...

Although, the Stimulus package has plenty for the Healthcare during the crisis. Not saying it's enough, but just pointing that out.

Here's some details on the Cares Act.

The stimulus is a great temporary fix but it does nothing to address the overall problems with our health care system.

Yes, this hyper partisanship needs to go. The only way this gets fixed is by both parties to come to an agreement.

The push to score political points is ridiculous on both sides.

I worried about how many jobs would be lost if we nationalized health care.

Guess that doesn't matter right now.

I don't want shitty health care for everyone either so I am going to have to be convinced on what we should do.

I think there is a compromise somewhere in the middle. Don’t want to get in the weeds in this thread, since it applies to Sanders mainly.

You can start to worry about how many jobs we might lose if we don't nationalize. My wife works in a clinic, manages front line workers. She said there are rumors of layoffs because they have reduced their treatments to a minimum, which means reduced payments to a minimum. At the same time they need more workers to manage the covid tests and exposure tracking, which at the same time doesn't pay very well. The stimulus will probably hold off layoffs but for how long?
