I don’t think $1,200 matters much to a billionaire. It’s about as significant as thinking Trump gets mass profits off his $433 position of Hydroxychloroquine. If it’s a loophole that gives 100k+ windfall, then you have a point.

my comment is based solely on principle. Meaning, “Hey asshole, if you get that money and keep it, you’re a total douchebag!”

I'm in same boat. Where did you learn about this? The web app the IRS says "payment status not available" when I tried to use it.

I don't need the money right now but my wife is bugging the shit out of me already asking about it.

    oh for fuck sakes:

"During the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic Ayyadurai used social media to spread various conspiracy theories and misinformation about the pandemic. In January 2020 he claimed that the coronavirus was patented by the Pirbright Institute, but the patent he referenced relates to avian coronavirus, which infects birds, not SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the pandemic.[47]

He alleged that the coronavirus was spread by the "deep state" and accused Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, of being a "Deep State Plant". Ayyadurai called for Fauci to be fired.[48]

In March 2020 he published an open letter to president Donald Trump where he wrote that a national lockdown was unnecessary and advocated that large doses of vitamins could prevent and cure the disease.
    [49][50] "

he's an anti-vaxer who falsely claimed to have invented email

" Ayyadurai, or “Dr. Shiva” as his fans call him, is a controversial scientist and long-shot Massachusetts Senate candidate who is pushing a variety of claims that range from dubious to medically disputed to outright false. He has argued that a strict vitamin regimen can prevent and treat the coronavirus — an unsubstantiated view at odds with the medical community and existing research. And he claims Fauci is a deep-state plant hellbent on “forced and mandatory vaccines” to support “Big Pharma” — a claim for which there is no evidence.

Yet Ayyadurai, who is not a medical doctor, has the imprimatur of several degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an online fan base among the people leading the movement to oust Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease expert. That includes DeAnna Lorraine, who suddenly ended up in the spotlight after Trump retweeted her call to #FireFauci. Lorraine, a former challenger for Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s California House seat who has regularly retweeted QAnon conspiracies, is using her newfound perch to stump for Ayyadurai."

    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/13/anti-vaccine-activists-fire-fauci-furor-185001

" Politico reports that DeAnna Lorraine, who got the #FireFauci hashtag rolling, is a regular retweeter of conspiracies by the group QAnon, which has famously alleged that former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz hired a Salvadoran gang to murder staffer Seth Rich; that Angela Merkel is Adolf Hitler’s granddaughter; and that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, among others, are members of an international child sex trafficking ring. One reason Lorraine doesn’t trust Fauci is because of the dramatic change in deaths predicted by coronavirus models that he had nothing to do with. “His projections have changed constantly,“ she told Politico reporter Tina Nguyen. “I think he first started predicting 2 million-plus deaths,” she said, confusing Fauci with London’s Imperial College, according to Politico. Apparently not understanding the point of all the social distancing Fauci and other experts have been advocating for, she added: “And now it’s down to 60,000. And you know, why such a sudden change?"

Yeah, like I said from the beginning, I really don't "need it" either.

    I've read about the timing of delivery from 2 or 3 different sources...here's one;

Thanks. I hadn't seen anything about paper checks and mailing dates.

We made just less than the max before they lower the payment. They should have my bank info on file but who knows? Maybe we'll get a check in July.

Their online web app did for me what many people are saying...payment status not available.

The government can't even give out cash efficiently.

if anybody is interested, this website has nation and US state graphs that are interactive. You can sort by highlighting nation and/or state:

I think people in Oregon can be both optimistic and a little proud of our response, but it's awful early to assume too much about this

Yup, my wife said she checked yesterday and got the same message.

And yeah, they spent $2.4 Trillion on this half baked "stimulus package", you'd think they had plenty of time to figure out how to roll it out efficiently.
