No I haven’t. And if congress are in agreement, then it’s moot. Although, the power is there if they don’t.

Cool story. Losing campaigns ALWAYS claim that their internal polling is way, way different than public polling.

CNN is reporting that 114 South Koreans who were believed to have 'cleared' the virus after infection are now testing positive for Covid. It's unknown at this time whether it was due to re-infection or re-activation

either way, it's not good news. If it's only re-activation, then the next big question is how long the virus resides in the body after symptoms disappear. Is it a month?...3 months?...years? And the other big question is how infectious these people are between incidents. Apparently, there's a little worry that the covid virus could be more like the shingles virus and remain in the body for years; maybe for life....yikes!

on the other hand, if the cases were due to re-infection it significantly complicates the search for a an effective vaccine. If living thru the infection doesn't produce enough anti-bodies to fight off the virus short weeks later, the effective life of a vaccine may also be measured in weeks, without boosters, or maybe even with. But more than that is this would bring into question just how effective 'herd immunity' would be....as in not very. I remember reading about a study out of Europe that said that about 20% of Covid survivors showed almost no sign of anti-bodies in their system

this may be a novel corona-virus in more ways than one....kind of scary

Are you talking about the total vote counts?

Popular vote. (about a 3% difference?)

Edit; now that I look at it, it's closer to 2%

1% is a big difference when you are talking about millions of votes. But I can see your point. The margins on polling have something like 2-3%

I'm secure enough in my manhood to make such a statement. I'm a happily married man and so is Mags.

But hey. Make love, not war. Sorry if you feel the opposite.

anyway, on the lab vs nature debate:

    https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-0820-9

    (that's a pretty technical read)

"Their conclusion was that the virus behind COVID-19 did not originate from “laboratory manipulation.” Not only is the way that the actual virus attaches quite different from the way that might be expected of a human-designed pathogen, it also has none of the fingerprints that would almost certainly remain after manipulation with any known laboratory tool. Instead, researchers concluded that the virus was generated either entirely inside an animal host before making the leap to humans, or that it made the leap to humans first, then evolved to become more effective at human-to-human transmission. The conclusion was that they don’t know. The only thing they could definitely show was that it was not generated in a lab."

I'm still not sure it makes any difference, one way or the other. That Wuhan lab is kind of similar to the CDC in intent and purpose. If Chinese epidemiologists and doctors were incompetent and let a virus escape is one possibility. The wet market seems to be the other possibility. I'm inclined to say the wet market is a more condemn-able source because it's such a large sin of ignorance and callousness. The Chinese government knows those markets should be shut down and they've known that for years
