It really is! I suggest Trump also push for Medicare for All, government-funded university for everyone who wants it and universal basic income--it'll forever kill Democrats' zeal for it. It sounds like a fantastic plan to me, and I heartily endorse it.

Let's you and I hope that his advisors are clever enough to get him to do it.

 

The Navy is testing everyone on the aircraft carrier T. Roosevelt. About 75% of the results are in. It is too early for a complete study report, but, here is some early info for you to ponder.

600 have tested positive, so far.
Only 40% of the 600 had any symptoms

That mean 60% of those that tested positive had no symptoms and felt healthy.. However, they were able to spread the virus.

This may help explain the rapid spread. There maybe 100s of thousands with the virus, and spreading it, without knowing.

The Covid 19 virus maybe a very stealthy virus.

I stop listening to any Covid 19 reports from any of the Fed agencies or politicians. I lost confidence in them months ago.

 

it's seems that in every other story about the pandemic, it's made clear that the US simply needs to perform tests at a level many times over what they are currently testing...and they need thorough contact tracing and isolation as the follow-up to any and all positive tests

I saw an epidemiologist on the TV today say that at the minimum, the US needs to be testing 700,000-1 million each day, but it would be better if it was 2 million/day. So far, we've tested only 3.4M

apparently, the bottlenecks aren't at the labs; the bottlenecks are that there's not enough people trained to perform tests, not enough PPE for the testers we do have, and not enough basic material, like swabs & solutions, to perform the tests. That's pretty pathetic that we're having those issues 2 months after it became apparent what the needs were going to be

 

It'll be interesting to see how this goes.
