Mhm, I know there's a WWE thread but I say we use that one to keep up with what's going on now and whatever but lets use this one to share memories and stuff on the Attitude Era. I personally think it was the greatest era in wrestling but maybe that's because I started watching in like 1997 or so. I don't really remember my first ever night of watching wwf and what took place but like the first major event I remember happening was when the Corporation put HBK through that car windshield. Some other favorite momentsHHH vs Rock I quit match on raw, haha Triple H did the pendigree (sp) and pic up the mic and goes, you know what I'm not done yet. I wanted to see him do it on the table but that's when the fu*kin corporation came out and ruined it. Ministry Crap- I think I liked DX and the Corporation back then but the Ministry scared the hell out of me and that always kept me watching. Gangrel- I guess I didn't like him much back then but these last few days I've been watching on youtube and for some reason Gangrel wierd ass is fun to watch. I wish I could find the time when the Brood joined the MOD or when they at least left. DX was my favorite group back then, they were all just so fun and entertaining. NAO was my favorite tag team, can't believe BABG is gay...smhI'll think of more crap later.

I have the WWF Best of Raw volumes 1 and 2. Can't find that in stores anymore, they selling it kinda high on ebay. But anyway, the attitude era was the sh*t. Everytime Stone Cold's music would play, every fan in the arena would jump up and down cheering like a rock concert, definitely something you wouldn't see here in anymore. His moments were classic: the zamboni, the beer truck, the tearing the titantron, he was the man.

Kane+Undertaker vs stone cold was a very classic match. I remember that much very well. Also Rock vs Stone cold had some classics also. Stone Cold should come back as a full-time wrestler.

I loved the Attitude era. TLC matches ftw. And I loved everything The Rock did, my favorite wrestler of all-time. Anyone remember the Hell in a Cell match between Rock, Austin, Rikishi, Triple H, Kurt Angle and The Undertaker? That match was crazy.

WWE should thank ECW for this era.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Didn't they provide financial support for ECW for a while?</div>Yes, it was the only right thing to do considering ECW paved the way for the Attitude era type gimmicks/storylines. ECW was the first promotion to really push the censors and introduce sex/violence into wrestling. It gained an underground following, WWF was falling behind WCW in ratings and WWF saw this and pushed towards a new era. I think it was in the Rise and Fall dvd where they talked about the financial support, as they were taking some of ECW's talent and in a light way acknowleding they adopted their style for their own. So Vince compensated ECW.

I loved the late 90s, not only was wrestling at its best but it was just a great time to be alive.
