It’s not correct. The President, even after declaring a national emergency cannot go against the constitution. Even governors cannot force people to stay indoors, even with a National Emergency.
Governors can shut down the ability to commerce, but then the President has authority to open them up because it effects national commerce.

Obama is a fraud. How many people here have had a boss that you thought was amazing and then found out he talks shit about all of you when his boss asks him why something went wrong?

Most my friends and are big time Trump supporters. Love the guy!

I can run circles around my friends as soon as politics are brought to discussion. In fact they hate even having the discussion with me. They aren’t very knowledgeable. I think that’s how Trump likes it.

but I love the guys like brothers and have been friends with these people 20+ years.

people who form opinions about other people based on their political beliefs are some of the worst

Some like coke, some like Pepsi. Skippy/jiffy. Chevy/Ford.

I actually voted for Obama his first term. I was pretty upset when he didn’t bring the change he promised.

If Biden wins we'll be bitching about a new President twice during those 4 years.

I had barely heard of the guy when he gave a speech after the DNC convention or some event years ago and I teared up listening to him.

It was an amazing speech. He has a gift. Too bad it was all bullshit.

Yep, some of my very close friends, most Trump haters, we still hang. We are Bros till the end.

we just don’t bring up politics. They know my position and I know theirs. Sometimes we have our spats, but it will never destroy our friendships.

He could have made a declaration, but it wouldn't have been binding. More of a figurative gesture of leadership. The Governors couldn't be forced to follow through, but as we have seen they would have with all the shutdowns. As it is, Trump decided not to take it seriously or act like a leader...big surprise.

He’s probably one of the best speakers of my lifetime. I would say Reagan was really good as well.

Trump is the wrecking ball I want to destroy the media. The more he attacks them, the more I love him. There’s a lot of collateral damage though, but the end of the media’s stranglehold on public opinion will make this country great again. Both sides will want to work together. The public will use their own minds again.

But, you claimed it above that only the governor had the power to reopen it, and it was on them, not Trump

What policies are you so high on and what policies don't you like of trump.

Do you think he has been able to bring this country closer together or pushed the country further apart?

    Agree:
    1.) lowering regulations
    2.) allow charter schooling
    3.) bringing back manufacturing
4.) Stop shipping out jobs so corporations can have a better bottom line.
    5.) Improve infrastructure
6.) lower presence around the world (stop using our tax dollars for endless wars).
    7.) Border Security
There are others, but those are the biggest policies I support.

    What I disagree with:
    1.) Eliminating ObamaCare
    2.) Limiting legal migration
3.) On the fence with abortion

There are a few people on both ends of the spectrum that debunk the media's lies but they get demonitized or just shut down on YouTube and the likes.

The corporate media is disgusting. What is there, six big companies?

It is like McDonald's and Wendy's and the other big chains. For the lazy and not good for you.

You do understand the McConnel vowed not to pass any Obama backed bill. How does one accomplish much with that kind of obstruction?

I do believe in States should govern their own states and the federal government shouldn’t force states for anything. I also agree on civil liberties. No governor or President has a right to take that away.

Yep, that’s a stupid move. Obamacare (the idea of it at least) is a sound policy. I wish there was a bipartisan effort to actually make it work. I don’t care if it has the name Obama on it. Just make the damn thing work!

Also, if there is a time to borrow loads of money for Obamacare it’s now. I think we are borrowing at close to zero percent. If we are gonna go in debt, may as well use that low interest for shit we all can benefit from.

The funny thing is liberals telling us that conservatives don't know what they are talking about. I know this to be true because whenever I see a corporate media story about a big event I research actual footage. I can't recall many times that a Fox story was 100 percent fact but I can't recall a CNN version that was either.

Both are tilted towards their side.

My point is that both sides claim to know what they are talking about and I rarely find that either one does.
