what briefing? This was suppose to be a briefing on the coronavirus not a ploitcal rally to slam the media the democrats and anything else that trump likes to battle with. Is that really a sign of a leader that is trying to bring the country together? No, he just keeps separating it further

 

I'm trying to figure out how the vagaries of this epidemic are going to play out:

1. Trump pushes for starting the economy. States that do have an economic rebound. Covid turns out to be seasonal and Trump comes up smelling like roses takes a victory bow and blames the Democrats and fake media for keeping other parts of the country down.

2. Trump pushes for starting the economy. Republican states fall in line and begin a tepid recovery. Covid starts erupting there again because of ending the social distancing too soon. The epidemic spreads all over again. Trump blames the Democrats and the fake media.

 

There is a briefing. If the reporters don’t want to ask questions pertaining to covid-19, then that’s on them. I watched Dr Birx explain a lot. I also saw why a beach in a county can open their beach because she has confidence their health director.

 

I watched it. He patted himself on the back the whole time and talked in third person constantly. It was stupid.

 

The usher of new unity will be a Democrat leadership lost and must work with the right to get their policies through. But, I was talking more after 2025.

uh, the first 15 minutes or so there was no opportunity to ask questions. It was another political opportunity for donnie do little.and as we have seen in the past, when the question time comes he often deflects (ooops, there's that word you often do but don't like) if it's a question he doesn't like. He spent more time pointing the finger than actually discussing the coronavirus.

 

Those reporters could of asked questions to any of them up there. In fact, two did. So it’s Trump’s fault that their questioning is always directed to him?

BERLIN - The editor-in-chief of Germany’s largest paper Bild on Thursday launched a full-frontal attack on China’s communist president Xi Jinping for his regime’s failure to come clean about the coronavirus outbreak and the massive human rights violations carried out by the communist party.


Julian Reichelt, the prominent editor-in-chief of the Bild, wrote to Jinping that “Your embassy in Berlin has addressed me in an open letter because we asked in our newspaper Bild whether China should pay for the massive economic damage the coronavirus is inflicting worldwide.”


He wrote that, "You [Jinping], your government and your scientists had to know long ago that coronavirus is highly infectious, but you left the world in the dark about it. Your top experts didn't respond when Western researchers asked to know what was going on in Wuhan.You were too proud and too nationalistic to tell the truth, which you felt was a national disgrace.”


Reichelt said “ You rule by surveillance. You wouldn't be president without surveillance. You monitor everything, every citizen, but you refuse to monitor the diseased wet markets in your country.You shut down every newspaper and website that is critical of your rule, but not the stalls where bat soup is sold. You are not only monitoring your people, you are endangering them – and with them, the rest of the world.”He continued with his bill of particulars, noting that “surveillance is a denial of freedom. And a nation that is not free, is not creative. A nation that is not innovative, does not invent anything . This is why you have made your country the world champion in intellectual property theft.China enriches itself with the inventions of others, instead of inventing on its own. The reason China does not innovate and invent is that you don't let the young people in your country think freely. China’s greatest export hit (that nobody wanted to have, but which has nevertheless gone around the world) is coronavirus.”


The spokeswoman for China’s embassy, Tao Lil, published an open letter in German on the embassy's website to Bild on Wednesday, stating “I followed your reporting on the corona pandemic in general and China's alleged guilt in particular today. Apart from the fact that we consider it a pretty bad style to blame a country for a pandemic that is affecting the whole world and then to present an explicit account of alleged Chinese debts to Germany, the article ignores some essential ones facts.”

 

We can play that game with the Obama Administration. He lost the super majority during the midterms. Lost even more after his second election.
