Dude, "Tell you what I need to improve on"Are you serious? You need to imrpove on everything. The BG is horrid, the text effects hurt my eyes, and I can't even see the render.Do like 5-10 sigs, then come back and post them so we can give u a real direction that your heading in...don't just post one and expect us to say "oh, the BG looks good, but u need help in ___ area.."
I need help with using photo shop lol and this is my very first pic I ever did on psWhat do u press to select the picture and rotate it. I now how to do it with words
I agree with Mardy, only I wont state it like that. What I can tell u is to not do that lighting and shadow stuff to the render it kills it. also the text is really bad
The Michael Redd cut could be uglier than my drawing. (I averaged like C's in drawings)mardy was being nice

http://www.bballworld.us/forum/Tutorial-Fu...l-3-t17757.htmlI made this tut a while back just for new GFXers....use it, its very simple and you'll produce a solid sig for a new GFXer. Just remember it doesn't have to be exactly the same...you can do things a bit different...its more of the process of making a sig than anything.

oh and...it seems you need a PSD...its a precut picture of a player. http://www.psdcentral.net/Site/index.phpgo there, the thrid tab should say "psd" click there. Go through it and pick whatever you want...if its a rapper, actor or ball player. Simply double click the picture and it should upload into your photoshop. On that site, check the forums and look at the tuts on there.
Thanx for the help everyone I just put this up here to c what I needed to improve on and u guys helped thanx

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (And1Ba11a @ Jul 11 2007, 06:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>so sum of the effects people use are brushes and they just put them everywhere?</div>Yeah. You should really just look at tutorials first and then come back with questions. That's how I learned at least...It's a lot easier to read up on what you don't know and THEN ask people for explanations, instead of asking first without reading up on anything...
Look towards the right, you should see "forums" and "psds"....its sortve hard to see cause they are what looks like folder tabs....just look close for them.
Ooo boy. You've got a long way to go.Use a gradient to start out - join some GFX sites and look for some good resources. Use some good stocks and blend/overlay them into the BG and blend it a lot into the background so you get a solid BG. Add some brushing in the background. NEVER put glow on your render, just makes it look ugly. Also add a bunch of effects to your player. IMO - this looks like 3 layers. Background - Render - Text then bam your done. Don't worry though dude, I'm new to Photoshop aswell, but once you read some tutorials - you'll be good.
