Which of these two things is most impressive, and why? There have been 14 5X5s in NBA history, Hakeem having six and Ak47 having three. There have been 5 quadrouple doubles in NBA history.Personally I think the quadrouple double is more impressive, because it does take a lot more effort to accomplish it, and it's a lot rarer. not to mention the 4 players(Nate Thurmond, Alvin Robertson, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson) who have gotten one were all very good players and Hakeem and Robinson are future HOFers.

Quadruple, of course - it's just better overallBut the 5X5 is awesome tooWith the way the NBA is headed though - I'd be willing to say that in your lifetime somebody will pull off a quintiple double - bold prediction for sure

I think quadruple double is more impressive because it is even more rare then the 5x5. They are both amazing accomplishments though.

If a quintuple double happened that would be just off the records. I would nominate it as on of the best single efforts in a game since the Big Dipper scored 100.Also, a quardruple-double-double, dammmn.(20-20-20-20) Less likely than the quintuple IMO.

That would mean u would have to get 20 pts, 20 rebs, 20 stls, 20 assists (or you could hav 20 blks replacing one of those). I think that that is prolly never gonna happen in the NBA. It's hard enough for a player to get 20 pts and 20 rebs, let alone 20 in 4 categories.

I dont think that would happen, 20 rebounds and 20 points are fairly easy to get. 20 assists is really hard. 20 steals or blocks would be nearly impossible, since the record for steals is 11, and blocks 17.

Wilt Chamberlain was a pro at this triple double double stuff. 20-20-20 , hes the only player in history I could think of that could the things mentioned. and yes people in any era.edit: Bigg Dipper got 22 points, 25 rebounds, 21 assists one game. Only player in history.

I'm sure those guys had 20+ block games quite often due to how dominant they were and that opposing frontcourt players were a lot shorter than they are today. Wilt and Russel put up 20 and 20 almost as often as Elton Brand puts up 20 and 10 so to get 20 blocks to go along with the 20 and 20 sounds realistic, I'm sure Wilt or Bill did it several times
