Jones, a fourth-year NBA veteran, averaged 6.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 18.1 minutes in 76 games for the Suns last season. The 26-year-old, who was originally selected by the Pacers in the second round (49th overall) in the 2003 NBA Draft, averaged 5.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 11 games (six starts) in the 2007 NBA Playoffs. Re: James, and Rudy to Portland, for cash!?!?! The Blazers must own some kind of mind-control device...either that or its the fact that Paul Allen is freaking rich. They're buying people out left and right. This is pretty ridiculous...
Re: James, and Rudy to Portland, for cash!?!?! Blazers got all the cash in the world...they are just going to buy the pieces for a championship team
Re: James, and Rudy to Portland, for cash!?!?! I don't think was as bad a deal as it looks on paper. They came to an agreement with Portland and agreed to sell them the #24 overall pick on draft night for $3 million. With this, they apparently waited to finalize it to add James Jones in there to save more money. Phoenix needs to cut salary, and with the additions of Grant Hill and Alando Tucker, why not save money and use James Jones as a throw-in?
Re: James, and Rudy to Portland, for cash!?!?! Old news...it just became official. Come on guys, since we were said to have agreed with Hill to sign him I've been talking about him replacing Jones...keep up. Yeesh. We have a stronger 8-man rotation and Banks, Tucker and MAYBE Strawberry will get a chance at becoming a 9th man. Tucker and Straw, especially Tucker, had a very strong game in our last summer league match-up with Banks out I heard.
Re: James, and Rudy to Portland, for cash!?!?! I'm getting severe deja vu. I could have sworn I already read the part about Paul Allen being rich and the blazers having mind-control devices.
