A kid in college vs. a man in power in the Senate. You be the judge.

are the republicans being hypocrites with their attack on Biden then? Biden was also already heavily vetted when he was chosen to be vice president.

wrong….we're not qualified to be the judge. That's the job of an actual judge...get back to me when it goes to court...I'm curious why she wouldn't choose to wear underwear under the circumstances ...I imagine a judge would have the same concern in this case

Yes the hypocrisy goes both ways. However I think republicans seem to feel vindicated that hey you guys said we were all x, y, z because of how we reacted to this situation in the past, and now they believe the left is responding the same way.

Uh, the law is the law and they apply to all. By your ideology one should be able to get away with something because he was just in college?

I'm more concerned about the people below than I am about Kavanaugh or Biden.

I agree 100%. but (IMHO), through their own actions in the Kavanaugh issue the Republicans have made it a moot point. Mags (and ABM) brought up the hypocrisy point. And as Mags pointed out, facts don’t care about feelings. It sounds to me like a search for evidence has been started by the Democrats and will probably continue for awhile. But it also sounds like, as Reade herself admitted, no evidence will be found. What more of a response do they/you want?? If I recall, it’s more of a response than the Republicans made in the Trump or Kavanaugh fights (other than to defend them vociferously). It’s politics. And the Democrats ARE hypocrites. They all are. Just as it didn’t matter to Trump’s base, it most very likely won’t matter to the Democratic (or Independent) voters. So is everyone who votes for either Biden or Trump a hypocrite........and supporters of sexual assault?

Not in this case. This person that tweeted that statement was one of the high profile attorneys of the #MeToo movement. She made a statement that she believes her, acknowledges Biden probably guilty, but her need to beat Trump far outweighs her right to justice.

I brought up HER hypocrisy of being a leader in the #MeToo movement, acknowledging Biden probably did touch her inappropriately, but that doesn’t outweigh her want to remove trump.

Yeah, And maybe we’ve seen how the #MeToo movement can be abused since its’ inception. Or if it’s worth the cost sometimes. And again, the lady is a lawyer. Facts do matter.

Politicians in high places if they don't re-sign (AF) will not be proven guilty without hardcore evidence.

Yes her tweet was ridiculous. I believe you were sexually assaulted but sorry right now were in beat Trump mode, that is crazy talk.
Most of this comes down to it gives people who voted for Trump or supported Kavanaugh (sp?) the satisfaction of saying haha you guys called us all this stuff and now when presented with a similar case you guys want to handle it the same way we did. Its simply a you called us hypocrites now we can call you hypocrites game. Politics is an interesting game of wrestling, where whichever side is dirty cant find a shower so they’re response is always lets make the other guys were playing dirty too, that’ll level the playing field.

Ah, got it. The severity of sexual assault depends on age and station. Good to know.

I think mag's point is though it looks hypocritical to many of us, only the dems are hypocritical in certain situations, because the right long ago traded in morals for politics. Being accused of sexual assault, being obnoxious, acting like a child and insulting those that don't agree with you, name calling, yadda yadda yadda, ...all ok if the politics are in line.

Now you're gonna say when sexual assault is ok and when it isn't? holy shit

Actually, Kavanaugh was a 17-year-old high schooler when to have allegedly assaulted Ford. But I do understand the implications. That all said, Ford doesn't appear to have had much corroborating evidence. The jury's still out on Biden/Reade, as it were.

Why can't we have a President like Tom Kirkman? ;)

No, but I think kids in high school potentially do very stupid/wrong things that they regret as adults.
