We all said Biden should step down. That is a lot more than the right in here said when Trump was running and 16 accusers came out against him. Will I vote for Biden. I don't know. I haven't decided. I didn't vote for Biden in the primary. I wouldn't vote for Trump either way.

not true. She claimed she filed a complaint shortly after it happened in 1993 and where was Reade in 2008? If she is telling the truth and it was filed it is reasonable to assume it would have come up during the vetting process.

I was never a Biden supporter as I don't vote in the primary and only vote in the general so I make my decision when it's appropriate, but this Reade allegation has some stench to it. I know in the last 5 years I’ve probably not met that standard. We are all good. Here is kind of what I want to hear from politicians: their willingness to work with the opposing party and reset politics to try and accomplish wins regardless of party lines. I’m tired of the vicious political game that politics has developed into. I think most people are. This OT forum is kind of a perfect example. You should go back and read what I wrote. I never said that Biden should step down based on Reade's allegation, just that the matter deserves investigation. I'm an independent, so I don't vote for a presidential candidate in the primary. So, is there some reason that you don't want it investigated? I'm not really getting why you and yank have been so against what I've said...which is simply that it should be investigated.
Biden has called for a thorough and independent investigation. Not the typical words of a guilty man.
Searching for things that haven't come to their attention yet is a big part of what vetting is. Yes, I would expect that they'd have at least addressed the issue, with Joe, with others that he'd worked with, and in whatever records were accessible. Entirely possible they missed it, but they surely would have looked for any hint of such things. barfo
Dude, if they investigate fine. If they don't investigate fine. There has to be a lot more come out before I think an investigation would be required as investigations can get ugly and ruin a person's chance at the office they are running for even if found innocent. This is basically a he said she said type case that happened 27 years ago and the only info we have is what Reade told people so essentially there is only 2 real witnesses, Reade and Biden. Was trump investigated for all of his sexuals allegations? If so, can you link me to all the investigations results and findings? I'm just tired of all the double standards and what trump has been allowed to get away with and I will happily settle for anyone but him.
Yes, that is too much to ask. There's no reason to expect that such accusations won't be lodged against any candidate, valid or not. If the electorate is unable or unwilling to distinguish between true and false accusations, it is a very effective political tactic. barfo
