We can make all the assumptions we want, but here’s a lady claiming something significant has been overlooked. Maybe she’s lying or simply wacky, but it deserves to be checked out. If the DNC is willing to leave that to the press, that their choice, but I don’t think it’s the best thing and I don’t think a lot of women who vote Democrat are going to be thrilled.
There will always be false accusations when it comes to guys and gals. But if you're going to accuse someone of such a serious offense, you better have evidence, corroboration and gone to the authorities. independent investigations are the only truly valid ones. Internal and opposition investigations will always have a "could be bias" asterisk. And no, the media is not independent.
If Biden knows he didn't do it and he wants this gone, the best thing he can do is call for the DNC to assemble an independent group to investigate and be 100% cooperative. Then do not answer any questions about it and refer to it as no comment under investigation. This would minimize the press focus and allow him to stay on course with his agenda.
There is no way to wholly investigate an almost 30 year old fingering incident. She says it happened, he says it didn’t. She told a few people at the time and most of them have reaffirmed the notion, that’s about the best your gonna get. Pull out your dictionaries and see “CORROBORATE”, it’s quite the buzzword in here yet nobody seems to understand it’s meaning. There is plenty of corroboration. There’s a tape of her mom calling Larry King a few days later. That may not be indictment-worthy but it is some more CORROBORATION for those here who are clamoring for it and pretending it doesn’t exist. The only court this will be held in is the court of public opinion. People will either believe it or they won’t and they will vote accordingly. Who else has any authority to back one? The alleged crime is long passed the statute of limitations so the cops won’t touch it. The FBI has no authority. I’d say an independent commission should be appointed by the DNC and they should hire qualified investigators and some media people to research it and report back. You’re right that if they exonerate him there will still be questions, but it’s better than ignoring it entirely.

there's really nothing to investigate. Accusations about something from 20-30 years in the past are going to go almost nowhere. Some people will believe, others won't. Some people believed Anita Hill, many didn't. Some believed Paula Jones, others didn't. Some believed Kavanaugh, others didn't. on the other hand, just about everybody believes Stormy Daniels. And that's even after she hired a slimy lawyer and an enthusiastic plastic surgeon anyway, as far as I'm concerned these kind of 2-3 decade old accusations are not a litmus test of women's credibility or men's culpability. I don't think I'm a chauvinistic asshole if I'm skeptical about most of these accusers...and I am. Truthfully, the only one I'd assign high credibility to is Anita Hill, and that's because she was the one who didn't want to come forward Thomas and Kavanaugh are on the SCOTUS. Clinton was a two-term president; trump won; and I predict it won't matter for Biden. To my dear fellow Trump haters. There is one and only one answer to this Biden thing. Fully investigate, bring in witnesses or whoever need be and grill Biden and if it doesn’t jive...he’s out and bring in someone else. Period. What sort of investigation do you want? There's actually lots of investigating going on right now. There's no governmental entity that has reason to investigate it so far as I know, but there are lots of other people poking at it, some anti-Biden and some pro-Biden. In the end, unless Biden or Reade confesses, we'll never be able to say 100% what did or didn't happen, as there apparently aren't videotapes or witnesses. barfo
