it wouldn't surprise me if the Trump administration was trying to push the governor's reopen the economy. Only way Trump will have a chance in this next election is to get the economy going again and he knows it.

He's likely behind the scenes, pressuring some governors to reopen early. This way if things go south again he can deny any responsibility and claim "Hey, I gave the states guidelines to follow and they didn't"....conversely, if things hopefully get better he will take full credit and claim it was all because of his efforts/actions alone.

He's playing the "I can't lose". card.

 

Just took a look at the market. S&P index is over 2,900 again ... down less than 10 percent for the year in spite of this.

NASDAQ actually is up for the YTD.
