There will be major reconstruction infrastructure work for many who are willing to change jobs...health care jobs...food industry jobs...yes...we will have to pick our own lettuce again. There will be work but I think the priorities will be for essential services...I think the entertainment industry will probably never be the same powerhouse it once was. We need to build factories for robotics now and fix the power grid and change many of our agricultural techniques moving forward....it's not going to be an easy transition and I doubt we're going to see a lot of old habits we've grown to practice socially disappear...might be time to turn malls and parking lots into low income housing and gardens...I'm just speculating but have given this situation a lot of thought recently and try to see a way forward for the next generation....I'll have a new grandson in 3 weeks that I won't be able to hold for who knows how long. I think we're going to see many countries isolate themselves and international trade die off other than essential goods or raw materials..

Like most people, I'm depressed about the state of the country and hope I'm overreacting but fear I'm not

Ultimately I think they will cancel the season and cancel the postseason.

Creating a bubble city is going to be too difficult, players will want their families, then you need coaches trainers and team staff. Plus they need their families.. Officials and league staff. All of their families. Then hotel staff. Hotel families. you say some of these groups will not stay in the bubble with faniles? Then you risk them going home every night and getting the virus. Food staff would need to be in the bubble. Food staff families. Doctors and testing. Plus their families. This becomes many thousands or tens of thousands of people in a physical "bubble".

It has to be a system players and owners agree is fair. Then owners of poor record teams have to buy in. ESPN has to approve of all these plans. Then the public has to agree its a good move or the league could have a major PR disaster if it appears they are taking medical supplies from poorer populations.

We have a few more months of hearing a lot of possibilities and proposals and ideas. Ultimately they won't work, the season will be cancelled, and it's likely next season will have major challenges to start.

I tend to agree. So many things need to change. I think about this kind of thing often. There are about half the people i know however that will fight this entire concept tooth and nail.
