On FSN Sports Tonight, Greg Dickerson (who is down in Vegas and has talked to multiple sources/executives around the league and within the Celtics brass) said that the Celtics were interested in Darko as well as one of his former teammates - Keyon Dooling. He said the Celtics have liked Dooling for a while now, and they love his energy and toughness (which I do as well).

Alright, I also do like Dooling. I like his energy and toughness, as the Celtics do, and I love the fact that he can defend. If we aren't able to sign a guy like Brevin Knight (come on Danny!) or bring in someone like that, I don't think Dooling would be a bad alternative via trade. I don't know how much smoke there really is to this, or what we would have to give up (shouldn't be that much), but I really wouldn't mind him.

I would rather have a more of a leader that can teach Rondo a few things, but Dooling does fill needs. He's energetic, he's very tough, he plays defense, he's extremely quick, and he's even expiring at the end of this upcoming season. Again, I'd rather have a "better player" (I guess that's how I should word it), but if we can't bring in anybody else for a reasonable price, Dooling would not be a bad option.

    Other Tidbits
    - Keyon Dooling and Ray Allen got into a fight during a game either last year or the year before.
    - Anybody remember when Dooling absolutely leveled Wally in mid-air, and was ejected? [IMG] I was at that game.

Well I am always a fan of the third guard being a comb (as I shed a teard over West), so depending on what it would take to land him I wouldn't mind. To bad Dark didn't resign the C's could have swung a deal for Dooling and also bring back Battie, I always liked him. But Battie is likey to start now.

We do need another center, but we also do need a backup point guard. Chill out.

And you don't give your backup center that kinda money unless your the Knicks. Catch my drift?
