I watched that video and I didn't get the sense at all it was any trained response. Just some people stepping in to stop somebody from 'making' bricks' to throw. Of course, a rumor of a trained team dilutes the possibility that there are actually protestors who don't want destruction.

 

Seemed really coordinated. First guy got him from the back, then another person swooped in, 2 more then. They seem to push away other people trying to get in. Even seemed to mark him with water right before it started.
