    West1. Phoenix Suns
    2. San Antonio Spurs
    3. Dallas Mavericks
    4. Utah Jazz
    5. Denver Nuggets
    6. Los Angeles Lakers
    7. Houston Rockets
    8. New Orleans Hornets

Blazers could surprise people though. Warriors will be in the race.

    East
    1. Cleveland Cavaliers
    2. Chicago Bulls
    3. Washington Wizards
    4. Detroit Pistons
    5. Miami Heat
    6. Toronto Raptors
    7. Orlando Magic
    8. New Jersey Nets or Boston Celtics

The Knicks could also surprise people and are close as well. This was tough, some of these teams are inter-changable and it's just hard to judge. What are your predictions for the standings?

I would have picked blazers for the 8 seed but they have no scoring threat right now. At least not enough scoring to get them to the playoffs in a tough west. Hornets have a good chance to make the playoffs over the lakers next year if they're healthy but if kobe misses the playoffs next year, im pretty sure hes going to be traded. if not odom is definately out of town.

    1. Mavs2. Suns(If we can stay healthy I could see us get the 1st seed and get close to the Bulls' best record and win it all. Unfortunately, I don't see us getting very lucky there, but as long as the team stays intact in the postseason it'll be okay.)3. Spurs4. Jazz5. Rockets 6. Nuggets7. Hornets8. Lakers1. Bulls2. Cavs3. I forgot to add the raptors to my seeding. that seems to be happening to alot of people though. I'd predict them somewhere around 6-8.

It's not a bad prediction, I have the Raptors 6th. While for some reason you can't see the Lakers in the playoffs which just astounds me. You really think Kobe will let that happen?

As for the Hornets, I believe we are at the highest a 6th seed if all these go well and no injuries occur, but we'll most likely miss if we can't get the ball rolling and win important games.

The Raptors are a top 5 team in the East. No way in heck they slip beyond that

I doubt they get a seed over teams that will be making strong comebacks like Miami,Washington, and possibly Boston. Also there is no way they will be better then cleveland, chicago, or detroit. 6-8 seed is pretty fair for them.

I think it's a little early for this but I'll make some early bird predictions:Eastern Conference1. Chicago Bulls2. Detroit Pistons3. Washington Wizards4. New Jersey Nets5. Cleveland Cavaliers6. Miami Heat7. Orlando Magic8. Toronto RaptorsWestern Conference1. Phoenix Suns2. San Antonio Spurs3. Dallas Mavericks4. Utah Jazz5. Houston Rockets6. Denver Nuggets7. Golden State Warriors 8. New Orleans HornetsThe Southwest division will be very close next season. The addition of Adelman should help put the Rockets near the level of Dallas / San Antonio for at least the regular season.

Take the Heat and the other two teams down one and throw the Bobcats at the playoffs and there...I got the Pistons at #5. Wait, they do play in the same division as the Bulls and Cavs right?

Yeah, Bulls, Cavs, and Pistons all play in the Central. I wasn't sure if you missed it or it you thought the Pistons were going to suck.
