[IMG]Mark Bartelstein, the agent for the Milwaukee Bucksʼ Mo Williams, the best free agent point guard still available, said he has "had quite a few conversations" with the Indiana Pacers since the start of free agency. The Bucks and the Miami Heat have reportedly been the frontrunners for Williams, but Bartelstein said, "Mo is still unsigned and it's an open market for him."Indianpolis Star---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't understand.. Jamaal Tinsley is a pretty sufficient PG for the Pacers, why would they need Mo Williams? He's injury-prone, but when the guy plays, he gets you a reliable 12 and 7.

Jamaal Tinsley is hurt alot, which is a good reason for why they are looking for another point guard, but I agree that Mo Williams is not the best of point guards for them. I think they need another point guard that can set people up, and work with Jermaine O'neal. Brevin Knight would have been a good point guard for them, as he can step in and do exactly what Tinsley does, while also being able to play solid defense for the Pacers. I don't really like Mo Williams as a starter for this team.

I think this would be a good move. The Pacers are near the bottom in offensive production at 95 PPG and Mo Williams can give them a solid 15-18 PPG. They would have security at PG with Tinsley being injury prone. They could run both PGs at the same time in some situations, making Tinsley even more effective.
