I do know I've read that at least one of these extreme right-wings groups has talked about 'assassinating' some police during protests in order to start a civil war

whoever shot up those police could be anybody....there are whack-jobs all over the place. But I'd say there's a lot better chance the perps turn out to be right-wing rather than Black Panthers or antifa or BLM.
