Meanwhile, the Nets were moving closer last night to a short-term deal with Jamaal Magloire, the free agent center whom they have been courting since the market opened. The final obstacle was getting him to agree to a one-year deal, which the underachieving, 6-11 center would use to restore his own value. I haven't seen much of him since his all-star year back in I believe 03-04, but I like this signing regardless. He is a very big body who can be a nice fit next to Krstic, and is definately an upgrade from Collins. It is a fairly risk free deal due to a contract length of one year, so hopefully he plas hard and mooches off Kidd/Carter/RJ as much as Moore did.
Kidd - Carter - Jefferson - Krstic - MagloireThat seems pretty formidable in the East if everyone stays healthy.
Not a bad signing. One good season doesn't make a good player. Now that he had a good season people think Moore is a good player and has a lot of potential.

I don't think the Kings expect him to play better than he did last season with the Nets.

But like K-Mart, he will end up failing without someone like Kidd getting him the ball, and VC and RJ taking defensive pressure off him. PS- he went to the Kings, not Grizz.
Jamaal Magloire plays average defense, doesn't hustle, runs like he's 6'10" 320 pounds and makes as many mistakes as he does big plays, the guy drove me nuts in Milwaukee. I can't stand him.
This helps their frontcourt a lot. Collins is now a decent backup instead of a crappy starter. Now all they need is for either Williams or Boone to step it up at the 4.
