    Yeah, Mom lives down in Winter Springs near Orlando and I still retain a house down near there too. She was all for Trump in 2016 and needless to say, we had some interesting convos about him. She said she finally saw the light about a year ago and now it seems that she sends me an email nearly every day about what a total ass he is.

    Mom is something else...lives by herself (well her and that big assed Maine Coon cat of hers), Mom turns 88 in Aug...mows her own grass...cleans her own house...does her own cooking...and surprisingly still drives damn well. But since this covid shit started she says she doesn't hardly go anywhere and probably has not put 25 miles on her car...but swears she's not lonely and doesn't have cabin fever and just tries to stay busy. And Publix delivers just about everything she needs.

    I'm near Winter Park, myself. Soon to be moving to a new place in Maitland. Coming from 30 years in semi-rural Oregon, it's been an interesting adjustment. 2020 is an adjustment in and of itself.

    My girlfriend's cat at least sleeps all day. Sometimes tries to sleep on me but I refuse to allow that. I have put probably 100 miles on my truck. I did have a road trip halfway across the country to get my brother back home. Orlando to Omaha. Then my dad went with him Omaha to Oregon. Publix is luckily a nice 10 minute walk around the corner from me right now. Always go there with a mask.

    Don't forget the way they draw the congressional lines in states. That is 100% done to indirectly help the GOP. The fact that they lost the House even with all this is hilarious.

    Take for example, resident idiot Gym Jordan. This is his congressional district.

    Haven't forgotten. Wisconsin, Democrats got 53 percent of voted for state legislators in 2018 but Republicans have a 2/3 majority in legislature due to gerrymandering.

    Dems actually took that case all the way to supreme court where it was dismissed.

    And in this day and age, the electoral college is so obsolete. We need hard core election reform.

    Yeah, I grew up in Longwood during the 60's...and we moved to Georgia in April 1968.

    That kind of election reform is impossible, unfortunately. At least, in terms of amending the Constitution. Red states would always oppose it, because if only people vote, Republicans would start losing every Presidential election. If land mass also votes, they have a better chance.

    However, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is a clever way to get around needing to amend the Constitution, so that may bear fruit eventually.
