I love cruising the roads of Kauai. don't mind the slow pace at all FAMS. Our place we stay at up north, you have to go over like 7 single lane bridges

 

Big Island is my favorite of all the Hawaiian Islands hands down. That Saddle Road is WAY better than it used to be. Kauai is where traffic can really get nuts. One night there'd been an accident on the road back from Waimea to Kapa'a and there was no way around other than off-roading through the cane fields.

People who claim the real problem isn't racism, just Black youth growing up without fathers, conveniently ignore exactly why George Floyd's children no longer have a father.

The George Floyd murder may very well be an exceptional situation. That's not to say Black kids growing up without fathers isn't a contributing factor in the entire issue.

so, I just saw this on the TV:

trump held a conference today in Dallas, TX. It was supposedly about policing and race. The Dallas chief of police is black. The county sheriff is black. The Dallas DA is black. None of those three people were invited to trump's fucking photo-op conference. The mayor of Dallas, who is black, didn't attend because of a "scheduling conflict" that somehow cropped up when he found out the three black chief law enforcement officers of the Dallas area weren't invited to a conference on race and policing

how can anybody still argue in support of this orange asshole?

 

The entire issue includes Black on Black crime, etc., etc. The video I post alludes to some of this. We can't simply look at cop crime and call it a day. Sorry. This is a universal, multi-decades-long, very complex issue.

 

I think he's trying to say being white has privileges?

 

I've been watching ABM post incessantly here and not once have I seen him propose anything that might impact the "missing father" issues. No mention of increased funding for inner city schools; no mention of any kind of jobs programs for black communities; no mention of vocational training for black Americans; no mention of amending jail sentences for non-violent crimes.

And at that event Trump said tear gassing protesters was "a beautiful thing". He added that racial problems will be solved quickly and easily. True, many dedicated talented people devoted their entire lives to fighting racism but doubtless Trump, who called Nazis very fine people, knows more about ending racism than Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, and most definitely knows more than Barack Obama!
