Wow, I am gone for a day and I see another 10 page topic about T-Mac being a point-forward. I am on a TV computer so I can only make this one post, so I'll respond to whatever this moron has to say tomorrow, but here it goes...T-Mac was the point of the Rockets this past season. You are right, there is a difference between running the offense and the offens running through you....but if you watch the video, T-mac is bringing up the ball, setting the offense up, running the offense (99% of the time a pick and roll) and then making the decision (usually dish out to Battier, Alston or head for the 3). Alston was NOT the point. The fact that JVG used his SF as point-forward should tell you that right off the bat. Then you'll say, "Well, he's dumb," but he has used other players before to take pressure off T-mac from running the point (Bob Sura in 04-05), but he did not do this with Rafer...because he is not capable. If he was capable, he would have used him more as a PG to let T-Mac's scoring flourish rather than making him do twice the amount of work (as seen with Larry Hughes doing that fro bron this season). He is a shoot-first PG who doesn't have the sense or court vision that T-Mac has, therefor not being the best point-option for the Rockets. The fact that T-Mac averaged more assiststhan Alston in less minutes, along with scoring more points and such should tell you that T-Mac had the ball in his hands a LOT more than Alston and did nearly all of the decision making/playmaking. And that is what a point does.Using guys like Josh Howard, Dirk or Pierce is stupid as they all have PG's to take the pressure of bringing ball up court and setting up the offense whereas T-Mac had to do that and actually run the offense this past season. That is why you see him as the only forward in the league on the top of the team assists % leaders. Your reasoning that only back to the basket players can play point-froward is stupid as Pippen and penny rarely played back to the basket. What you are describing with players dumping ball to Bron in post and letting him make decisions is a case of the offense running through him, not vice versa, therefor contradicting yourself.Last but not least, you will use stupid links to prove your point rather than drawing up your own conclusions and bringing in actual FACTS (not some other dude's opinion). Well, if you want other people's opinions on T-mac being a point-forward, go on M2 and looka t all the articles Chronz posted and you will see NBA.com among other sources clearly stating him as point-forward.
ok your first video I see Rafer bringing the ball up a lot thats enough basically.Rafer brings up the ball a lot thats a point guard trait.T-Mac is not the primary ball-handler.

Go download that game and then show me how many times he has. Rafer did NOT bring the ball up a lot. And btw, you're basing your opinion off 1 game? :HAHAHA: I provided 3 videos and I can sure as hell provide many more.
This thread needs to die. I begin ignoring this thread now. Yall would be wise to do the same. It's going nowhere and even if we all posts another 150 posts in this stupid topic we wont change his opinion.
I'll just respond to your post for kobetmacyao since everyone knows what he's gonna say"Your just an idiot. You don't even know what a point forward is." I'm done with you."

I'm saying you didn't provide your paragraph with any proof. You said they run the offense through him but he doesn't run it, but in a matter of fact he does.

I also see that rafer brings up the ball when the other team scores.THATS BEING THE PRIMARY BALL-HANDLER GET IT.I'M DONE WITH YOU TOOLS NOW.

Man your pathetic. Atleast be classy enough to admit Nitro just owned you instead of saying that post was too stupid for you to even bother responding to. Why don't you explain what was so idiotic abvout nitro's post considering it had 10x more insight then anything you've said.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Nitro1118 @ Jul 14 2007, 04:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!You spend page after page saying you are waiting for me, and THAT is your reply!!!!Moron.</div>good one.Neither one I only read part of it because I don't want to own a loner like you.why don't you stfu since no one is talking to you?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (kobetmacyao01 @ Jul 14 2007, 04:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>nearly all rockets game I've watched I see Rafer bring up the ball more. When you see a rebound from mcgrady I usually actually see him pass it to rafer sometimes. But when you see other people rebound it, they usually give it up to McGrady. The person usually running the offense and creating for other people is mainly the ball handler. And that is not Alston. And by saying nearly all the rockets games you have watched you seen Rafer bring the ball up more, that leads me to believe, you haven't watched much Rocket games.
You've been saying you wanted to own him this whole time and now he responds and you don't want to all of a sudden? Right...
actually when other people rebound it they give it to alstonHayes, yao and Battier.I see McGrady get the ball a lot sometimes when Head is there instead of Alston.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (kobetmacyao01 @ Jul 14 2007, 04:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>good one.Neither one I only read part of it because I don't want to own a loner like you.why don't you stfu since no one is talking to you?</div>Oh wow, You come out and call him a loner and repeatedly insult him and that's all you can come up with? My conclusion is, you're scared of getting owned....again.
no I don't read essay responses. And at this moment T-Mac is not a point forward. If that loser nitro posted shorter I would've easily slaughtered him like I've been doing with this thread.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (kobetmacyao01 @ Jul 14 2007, 04:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>actually when other people rebound it they give it to alstonHayes, yao and Battier.I see McGrady get the ball a lot sometimes when Head is there instead of Alston.</div>How does that work when Head is a sub for McGrady. Head is a undersized SG not a PG. Shall I provide more videos soon so I can prove all the stuff you're saying wrong?
