Williams' six-year deal reportedly worth $52 million
QUOTE

Mo Williams will be returning to the Milwaukee Bucks after agreeing in principle to a six-year, $52 million contract, ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan has learned. The breakthrough in negotiations came when the Bucks increased their original offer as Williams was being heavily courted by the Miami Heat. Williams will have a player opt-out clause after the fourth and fifth year of the deal, which has an average annual salary of $8.67 million.Williams was seeking a deal that would earn him similar money to what other starting point guards were making, but with money tight on this summer's free agent market, his leverage was limited. Miami and other teams could only offer Williams, who averaged career-bests of 17.3 points and 6.1 assists with the Bucks this past season, the mid-level exception of $5.3 million.Signing Williams had been a priority for the Heat largely because the Heat have concerns about the health of incumbent starter Jason Williams -- who has battled several injuries during his two seasons in Miami and is rehabbing this summer at his home in Central Florida.Agent Mark Bartlestein said the contract should be finalized early next week.
LinkGlad the Miami Heat didn't get him, and I'm sure Bucks fans are pretty happy they got Mo back.
Good signing. If they would have lost Williams, they would have been in some trouble. Now they get one of their main pieces back from last season. They need to work on adding some defense, then they will be a pretty competitive team.

Try to see if he wants to stay or not. If not, try to trade him.
Great signing, Williams is a young and talented PG who was the shining light in the Bucks dark season. When the Bucks were surging at the end of December and early January, Mo Williams was playing a giant role. Now Milwaukee has locked up a potential future all-star for 6 years to come. Now it's time for the Bucks to fix the Yi situation.
YESSS!!! Thank you Mo he is going to be a soild player later on I mean star type point guard later on
THANK GOD. :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: 6 years - $52 million Not that bad. I'm assuming he will probably opt out of the 4th year looking for his last big pay-day. We will probably be paying him $8-$10 million per those first 4 seasons.
