    Hello darkness, my old friend
"Facing" to the right (the way the Nazis used it) was for Shiva the destroyer. Facing to the left (as these pizza people did it) was a symbol of good luck and prosperity. These poor pizza makers were fired for wishing good luck and prosperity.

    Sad.

    WTH?
Why would people allow these thieves to blatantly do this.
Man, if our community/city produces kids like this we are in for bigger trouble than I thought.
Put them on a berry bus like they did me and make them learn to work honestly for living, its the only way they will learn to respect others property and freedom.
    Sad

There's your solution, then: move to "a commie country."

I would not oppose an all black & brown police force as it just seems it would help. Nothing wrong with that idea really.

I mean this is not being addressed by BLM, Politicians, Celebrities.
Saving Black Lives in Chicago should be a priority? where the hell is AL Sharpton when he's needed?

The crime in Chicago is largely due to the systemic racism of the city and our country.

Please dont do the what about black on black crime shit. Again. Its shitty at best. Isnt relevant a discussion on race dynamics in the country at all, except by whites who want to push away discussion of race relations and just point out bad things blacks do. Posting articles about black on black crime. Posting videos of a black guy robbing someone...what does that have to do with the topic? Nothing. Nothing at all. It's simply an attempt to dehumanize blacks so that the narrative can shift.

That street goes both ways. My links were simply in response to Hoop. And pointing to facts that are conveniently and purposely ignored by some is not dehumanizing anyone and if facts are disturbing to some people I'm sorry, but it still doesn't change the facts.

Black on black crime is in fact a serious and undeniable problem, but it is seldom if ever addressed...and some people don't want to acknowledge it and/or discuss it.

    I respectfully disagree.

The other day a profound/true statement was made about all the hype around changing the name of the Civil War
"So? We don't give a shit. It won't save one black life. It's stupid. I'll always call it the Civil War." I thought about DVISS quote all that day, about how it wont save one black life. Thats powerful, an thats what its all about.
The situation in Chicago has been going on for at least 10 years and I've yet to see the synergy that the BLM has going used in that city. I think went it come to saving black lives, wherever, however, that what the narrative should be also.
    Sincerely peace!

Not in a discussion about systemic racism because it's irrelevant to the topic.

It's like going to a cancer awareness round table and screaming that heart disease is a serious problem that no one seems to want to acknowledge or discuss. Stay on topic. If you have serious, important things to say about black-on-black crime or white-on-white crime, create a thread about it with all your insightful points on the issue. Don't try to derail a thread about racism with "BUT BLACKS KILL EACH OTHER, GUYS!" It's a common distraction tactic, which is why you keep getting scorned when you do it in this thread. Not because you have some deep truth that makes everyone uncomfortable.

DViss' quote doesn't really relate here. I'm unsure your basic point in relating it. I'm not asking to change the names of streets in Chicago. I'm not asking for surface changes. The SYSTEM needs to change in Chicago. It's not just Al Sharpton going in and saying hey y'all stop. I dunno why you keep bringing him up. Well, I do, but... The issue doesn't start with black on black crime in Chicago neighborhoods. It starts with the systemic and structural racism in Chicago, and it trickles down. The one time trickle down actually works, go figure!
Going on for at least 10 years? Chicago? I grew up on the south side of Chicago, was born and raised. Been a LOT longer than 10 years going on. But when you toss racist rookie cops into the worst parts of the city as a general practice, you're not really looking to fix a problem, you're just looking to punish one. That's a system. A system that needs to be burnt to the fucking ground and replaced with something entirely different. I've seen way too much in my youth there. Don't tell me Al Sharpton needs to talk to them.

I do agree about he systemic racism and unqualified cops and I bring up Al because he has a strong voice in the community what is wrong with that. He's on MSNBC talking about helping communities and such, I just wonder why he cannot use his clout to go in and mediate, conciliate the change needed. Not just him but politicians need to take a stand and do whatever it takes. If they have to fire all the cops there to tear it down do it. Im sorry that you saw way to much in your youth there, I hope you can see it change the way you would like it too.
