Sometimes, violence is necessary. MLK Jr was peaceful and got killed. The Gay Rights Movement didn't start til the gays fought back against the police at Stonewall in 1969. Sometimes, you have to FIGHT to get the appropriate attention your cause deserves. When people are angry, things get broken, people get hurt. That's just the way it is. Blacks have been murdered over and over and over again by police. Eventually, there has to be a breaking point. Have you ever gotten so angry you broke or threw something? Now multiply that by a million and have you the BLM riots, etc. I'm an American and I am not horrified. I'm horrified by the murder of George Floyd and yet that wasn't in your post at all.

Oh, Lord. Get woke yourself. Slavery ended over 160 years ago, and there’s not a single American alive today who ever owned slaves. There’s also not a single black person alive who ever was a slave. Millions of white American men died fighting to end slavery, and thousands ran an underground railroad to get them to freedom. There is no other country on earth where blacks have a higher standard of living or more opportunities. That’s why blacks and other minorities want to immigrate here. And while you’re at it, get woke to the fact that ninety percent of homicides in the black community are committed by other blacks. That’s the real tragedy in all of this. But instead of focusing on that, and trying to solve the real problems that affect the black community, It’s much easier to rise up and blame your problems on a few bad cops, who use that stupid neck hold on criminals of all ethnicities, and actually get shot or killed more often by black Americans than any other ethnicity.

It wasn’t in my post because it didn’t need to be. All Americans, including me, were horrified by the Floyd killing. I can’t even watch the video because it turns my stomach. I hope they put the cop who killed him away for life. But thanks for calling me a racist. That’s a favorite trick when people aren’t capable of mounting a real rebuttal of your argument.

Just to remind everyone of the big picture. There are several things that make the legal system evil, but only 1 is getting attention. If you survive through 1 hoop, you still have the others. 1. police tactics, in both rules of engagement and paperwork games 2. prosecutor tricks, and a defendant lawyer's conflict of interest to maintain his own high pay 3. ridiculous prison sentence lengths for non-newsworthy crimes 4. harmless victimless crimes, like certain drugs, romantic talk, etc. 5. the media's 1-sided coverage (#1 above recently slightly changed...temporarily) 6. the mafia of police unions, and the ranking of Police Chief above Mayor 7. secrecy and non-transparency: refusal to answer the media's questions 8. the 100 million Americans living in terror to not speak out, including reporters Only 1 and 6 are confined to police. One lawyer has just as much power as a policeman to destroy you. So does a newspaper owned by a rich family who hide behind their hedges (double meaning intended).
