BLM sank to a new low on the fourth of July in our nation’s capital by throwing the American flag on the ground and lighting it on fire. One guy in the group gave the “F— you” sign to the flag with both middle fingers while it burned. The rest of them gathered around and chanted, “America was never great!” This topped their despicable performance in Portland, when they pulled down a statue of George Washington, set the American flag on fire and threw it over Washington’s head. Let’s face it: BLM is a hate group. They hate this country. They hate capitalism. They hate white people. They hate our flag. They hate our leaders. They’re all about hate. I believe they are setting race relations back in a big way, which is a shame. They had a great opportunity to change minds and win people to their side, but they are throwing it all away in this ongoing hatefest.

Yes, they're the ones setting race relations back.

Hell, I’m still struggling with the fascination some people have with a piece of multi colored cloth. If that’s what is supposed to bind us all together, then we are fucked.....

I'd suggest that you try garnering some perspective, but clearly that's well beyond your reach. Your post can go fuck itself, until it dies a cold, lonely, and racist death.

I personally don't give a flying fuck about what people do to the flag.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I'll take hate crimes against a piece of cloth over hate crimes against actual people, which is what black people have faced for centuries in this society.

It's not a huge surprise that the flag is more important to you than actual (non-white) people.

Oh no, not a flag. Dear lord, not a representation of something.

Oh wait, more important things need to be addressed. Lets focus on that.

    Texas v. Johnson

Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 (1989), was a landmark decision of the US Supreme Court that invalidated prohibitions on desecrating the American flag, which at the time were enforced in 48 of the 50 states. Justice William Brennan wrote for a five-justice majority in holding that defendant Gregory Lee Johnson's act of flag burning was protected speech under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

This weekend, I technically burned something that represents an organization I am a part of.

Yes, I put a wine bottle from the winery I manage into a fire. I hope I don’t get canned.
