It takes a long time I've heard...my wife got hers early on ...it took my daughter in law a lot longer and she is a film producer who travels for a living in a similar situation to you...hang in there, hope you get it soon man! You still have to apply every week though...
no...my wife worked with the disabled for senior services...my daughter in law works for a small film production company and does a lot of independent contracted work...the virus wiped out about 10k worth of those jobs in April alone....she's good though...got her unemployment checks last month
Blazers are going to play out this season in a modified schedule in Orlando soon., Maybe you can pick up some work there.
Please don't talk behind my back. Someday, you might be old and weak, too. We were talking about coffee weren't we?
So our 3 month mortgage furlough is up......STILL haven't received unemployment. This ain't looking good. Had my wife not been able to continue working, I honestly think we would already be out the door. This is Day 119 without being able to work......
Man, that sucks, Really does. I take it you're still sending in your weekly verification, but with no responses?
Correct. Nobody picks up the phone, or if I get through, get disconnected. Sly has pointed me in the right direction to get some help, but still waiting.
I finally got through to someone yesterday, after well over a thousand phone calls. And...because I worked at a school, she said someone has to call me to verify more info about my contract/work agreement, so maybe hopefully they call me next week like she said. I don't feel too confident.
Crap, I feel sorry for guys like you. My wife and I haven't had to change a single habit regardless of the cost except that we don't eat out in restaurants or go anywhere that there are crowds of people. Had to go to Camp Withycombe because my wife needed her ID card renewed and that's it. Didn't need to renew mine because it's permanent. Everyone wore masks and my wife and I wore gloves. We stayed separated at least 3 feet. No worries about house payments or car payments or untilities or anything, really. But then, we're both retired and in good shape. We both pulled out of the stock market for now. Will get back in when they have a vaccine.
I'd like to take a sec to thank @SlyPokerDog . He reached with some ideas on how to get my unemployment through other channels and I'm happy to announce it worked. Contacted my local representatives .......Senator Dembrow, Representivitve Kenny-Guyer, and NE Portland natives Ron Wyden and Earl Blummenaur. AND IT WORKED!!!!! Nothing like getting 24 unemployment checks in the mail at one time!!! @SlyPokerDog you dude are a true gentleman. This helps me and my family out more than you could imagine. Not out of the woods, but this is a huge start!
