As I understand, the reason behind all the huge rebound and points stats back in the day was the pace... if blocks were recorded back then, they might have been big too, I don't know.</div>I actually went back and looked at some stats, and the Boston Celtics actually didn't have one season through the 80's of three different players averaging 20 points per game, and that was with them averaging many more shots per game for the team, and averaging 112 points per game most years. In comparison, not one team in the league this year averaged 112 points per game, and not one team in the league had three players average 20 points per game. So Primetime, I seriously doubt we are going to see Jefferson score 20 points per game, at the same time that Pierce and Allen do, unless you are thinking Pierce or Allen are going to go down in scoring, and he is going to take their spot as the number two scorer on the team.

I can't see Jefferson making it this year. He would need a hell of a first half. He probably will stay about the same or decrease in scoring. He's not going to get voted in over guys like Shaq and Dwight Howard, so the only way I could see him getting in is due to other people being injured.

After all it is only 4 more ppg then last year and he has a whole offseason to develop. Whether Jefferson puts up similar stats to last season or not they are still going to be drastically improved just by having a healthy team coming back and another year of their young players developing. 45-40 wins isnt pushing it at all, they might not be the best defensive ballclub but they have enough offensive talent to make up for that and in a still considerably weak east(at least compared to the west) and a mediocre atlantic division that isnt out of the question at all.
