Maybe, maybe not. What I'm saying is that Obama did actually do some helpful, positive things, which "racist Trump" (to use your words) got in the way of.

Uh huh. Unless everything's solved, BLM is a failure. Meanwhile, everything isn't solved but somehow 1776 Unites isn't a failure. Typical gimmick used by someone who's not debating in good faith--act like "everything solved" is the only litmus test for people you disagree with, but not the people you agree with.

You really don't know me, nor anything about me. Engaging in banter with a bunch of left-thinking cats on a sports message board doesn't get things done in the world. I'm completely comfortable and confident in who I am, and what I believe. I'm rather certain you are, as well. Sure, I can be impetuous and trot out posts I probably shouldn't have. But, so what? After all, again, this is a message board, an entirely left-leaning message board. Nobody's minds are being changed in here. Not yours, not mine. If you think I have nothing to say, move on. HCP did. So did others. No worries.

I just don't believe the BLM movement will be the catalyst to effect change. We shall see.

I put racist in parentheses as it was the term you had used. But, oh, well. Truly, I only invoked Obama's name because when he became President, he had the entire world at his beck and call. This despite challenges from the right. I mean, he had the WHOLE world. It's just that, to me, the longer he was President, the more that flame seemed to wane. I'm sure the same could be said about Trump, as well. LOL (many Presidents, actually)

I can't think of another President in recent memory that had the "real" keys to change. And that's because he's Black. Incredibly unique opportunity.

The website you won't click on and read actually has links to legislative measures sponsored and/or endorsed by BLM that have passed in individual states. I've even provided links and examples.

But I've told this to you two other times in an effort to have an informed discussion with you.

It's not that Woodson Center isn't doing anything...

    1776 Project is relatively new.

Perhaps you missed an above response to this or you just ignored it because it didn't fit your position. Obama was screwed over by a republican controlled senate who did everything to stop him from accomplishing anything.

Had the Dems controlled congress there would have been a lot more substantive change under Obama.

The same can't be said for Trump. He had the Republican Senate to kiss his ass since he got in. The only changes he has made are terrible ones that have destroyed our country.

I will say though, at least the country is woke now and real change will begin to happen once Trump is gone.

How long do you think it takes to get something done? You think the snap of a finger and poof. Things change?

Lets look at our founders who were voting in their own leaders and how long it took them to make changes.

Now if some of the BLM leaders were our governmental leader,s I think it would happen quicker.

from here it took another 4 years to get a declaration of independence written and signed.

Not sure what you are looking for..... It seems your posts contradict your own beliefs at times.

And ABM,. I'm telling you this as a supporter of you. I'm not a left winger like you claim this forum is. I agree its mostly left, but even most of the right is disagreeing with you. Do you not see that?

Yes, true change can take years, decades, or even centuries to take place. It has taken the last 60 years for basic civil rights change to take place.

I think BLM will help accelerate change

    100%.

The funny thing is BLM is around because the changes have not happened fast enough. Now I do believe true change takes real time and BLM is also expecting too much too quick.

Ao I find it funny when people say. they have had thier time and havent made change. But then expect immediate change while knowing history has proven change doesnt work that way. So IF BLM doesnt make changes NOW. They failed...

    Doesnt make sense to me.

I understand. To be honest, I didn't open the links in each of the states. If you have that handy, re-send. I promise to check those out.

That said, as I had mentioned elsewhere, I don't believe BLM is the be all, end all in all of this. They have detractors and need to be held accountable in their own right:.

While I'm sure you don't like the source here, it does include a number of links.

OK, here's your clue, then. Right-to-life is huge on my list and there ain't any dems in support of that. Again, Kasich is my guy and I hope he runs in 2024.

I'm only responding in kind. You claimed he had the keys for change, but a key only works if there is a lock available to unlock and open a door does it not? Did not Congress hide the locks that Obama could have unlocked with his keys?
So you saying good one... well its in response to your post.

Its not a good one. Its the equivalent response to your response.

How many times are you going to ignore this?

I think i'm the third or fourth person to point out to you the president can only make changes if congress works with them?

Again, more from this group from you. https://capitalresearch.org/

It's interesting how much you support this group and trumpet their views while claiming you don't.
