Re: Is 'BET' racist? I've seen this debated before, a lot of people think it's reversed racism. To me, it's not racist, but nausiating, I can imagine the hiring process for the BET hosts. "Well, how good of a public speaker are you?" "Forsheezy ya heard?"
Re: Is 'BET' racist? I wouldn't say they're racist, but I would hate to see WET (white entertainment television) I know people would go crazy if that happened, so why should they allow it?
Re: Is 'BET' racist? I watch it all the time...its not racist. But I agree with BALLA, if there was a WET people will be going insane calling it racist and all that...And I dont think the host are bad at all....besides Rocsis accent(which is kindve cute)none of them talk weird or anything.

It's completely true that people would get all upset if there was a WET, because it would be considered racist and whatever else it would be called.I don't know who would watch only white television, but it would be considered racist.
Re: Is 'BET' racist? No it's not racist, why? Because it's entertainment aimed towards black people. White people can watch it if they want, there's no rule that says you can't watch a TV channel. I personally watched a show called 'ballers' when Caron Butler was on their. :dribble: WET would definetely cause some stir but it wouldn't last long because it would probabely close down pretty quickly.
Re: Is 'BET' racist? Haha...should just merge CMT with the hunting channel and slap a WET label on it and we're all set :happy0144:

The ones with predominately white shows are called CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC, CW, MTV, TBS (don't try to say House of Payne counts for something). There are black shows on those channels, but they're all predominately white.

With BET, white shows are not even allowed onto the channel.
Re: Is 'BET' racist? What the hell is "reversed" racism?Racist is racist. Doesn't matter who does it.

Why would they care; their show would probably fail on that network anyway. Same with FOX; all of the black shows that have ever existed on there have not survived...from The PJs to Method and Red (as horrible and degrading as it was).
Re: Is 'BET' racist? CMT actually stands for Caucasian Music Television. I doubt too many blacks watch that channel.
Re: Is 'BET' racist? Poor white people. They sure have gotten a bad break in this country. And screw BET anyway. It's a con. Viacom owns BET now. Just like MTV and VH1.

Whites run BET now and a lot of blacks say they're not putting the right things on the station.
