8. Pelicans 33-39 9. Blazers 33-41 10. Grizzlies 32-41 11. Spurs 30-41 Bad lottery spot here we come.
Everything is difficult for a crappy team. Only “easy” game there is Washington. And why do you underestimate Orlando? They’re a solid playoff team.
Injuries can happen to any team at any time. We all know this. Even more so when the playoffs actually start. These teams are already playing playoff intensity basketball. I would not be surprised at all if there were more season ending injuries.
Need at least 3-2 I think, and we get ourselves in a play in. Root like hell for NO and San Antonio to lose as much as they can, especially in games they shouldn't. Think the schedule should take care of MEM. Even if they win, it's gonna be hard for them to create separation vs #9.
Spurs having 2 fewer wins is a big deal and will give us a tiebreaker. Even if they win more, the schedule screwed em.
My first reaction to your post is wow you are right thats to bad they won't lock up the 2nd seed. But then I thought, what the hell is the advantage of seed 2 vs 3? There is no home court. Either way they are out of Lakers side of the bracket. I wouldn't really say Dallas is any easier of a first round opponent than the 6th seed such as OKC... You may be right... I'm just having a hard time judging what kind of effort other teams will be putting in.
I think 3-2 the rest of the way gives us 8th 8th Portland 34-40 9th Memphis 33-40 10th Pelicans 32-40 11th Phoenix 31-40 12th Spurs 31-40 13th Kings 31-41 All we have to do is beat Memphis in one play-in and we rest up for Lakers.
Blazers need to win out. They're good enough to do just that. Blazers are 2-1 without Dame going off yet. I don't doubt Dame.
The Pelicans aren't good. They actually lost 13 straight at one point this season. Has a team that lost 13 straight ever made the playoffs? I think the Suns might've done it once in the mid-late 90s but that's it.
