On what he can bring to the team, Williams said, &ldquo;Hopefully I can block some shots, catch some alleys from JKidd and Marcus Williams, and have some fun out there on the court.&rdquo;</p>

&ldquo;It doesn&rsquo;t put any pressure on me,&rdquo; said the big man. &ldquo;It actually makes me look forward to getting out on the hardwood and showing the fans what I have.&rdquo;</p>

Expectations are high already, don't know if its a good thing so early on.</p>

He was a steal with the 17th pick. I guess people didn't like him because he was suspended / dismissed by Boston College.</p>

 

A big steal but a huge risk, but I do like him. </p>

I will be cheering like hell for him to succeed, but I won't be able to shake off the feeling that he will get in trouble eventually. </p>

 

According to his agent, Sean Williams will sign his rookie contract soon.

What is there to be positive about? "Thron" is still in charge, the core of the team is staying the same, there is no upcoming cap relief and the last few drafts have sucked.

The regular season should be a fun ride

I start to see what cpaw says with every day that goes by, the Nets have basically stayed the same team every year. They improve in one area only to severely weaken in another.</p>

That said, going for one last run with this group is not that unreasonable. There is no denying that its a talented core and as a Nets fan I've seen worse. </p>

It isn't a steal if he completely busts, only if he plays to his potental.</p>

On the contrary, last year I expected the Nets to get to 50 wins. They got 41. </p>

This year the question is this, are the Nets going to play up to their potental the entire season? Or are they going to go on long winning streaks and losing streaks.
