Great post! I agree that we are highly unlikely to beat the #1 seed... most #8 seeds can't beat the #1 seed for some of the reasons you listed above. It's probably fair to say that the Lakers would like to play us the least of all the possible #8 seeds because we have a couple guys who could get red hot and steal a game here or there, but ultimately, this is a 4-1 type series at best.

I'm not as big on Little as most people here, mainly because of his offense, but being able to play someone with his athletic abilities would certainly help us on the defensive end.

That game was rough. I know we're capable with this team as is of playing much better, just look at the Rockets game. The fact is we did get the win and now we just need likely 4 more in a row. Our team is capable of it and I actually think we will do it. I kind of wish Stotts had the guts to bring CJ off the bench, if the guy isn't scoring well then all he is is a defensive liability. We all know CJ will start so I hope he finds a way out of this slump. Honestly everybody but Dame and Melo played like shit tonight and Dame could have done a better job taking care of the ball or... maybe... our offensive genius head coach could design an offense that does more to help out our best player against blitzing traps but hey as someone said in here before Stotts is going to Stotts. We will get the win against the Mavs and it should be an easy one (if there is such a thing) if the Jazz will just beat them tomorrow. Lets win these next four or three and get in the playoffs. Go Blazers!!!

We’re much better (maybe 10 games) but problem is we were a 35 win team without them.

And he has lead them to 4-2 in the bubble against what is possibly the toughest schedule of all the teams vying for the 8th spot in the west.

And his old assistant is 5-0 with what was supposed to be a worse team. I would take all the bubble records with a grain of salt.

I agree, on needing more athleticism. It's kind of funny, but suddenly we are looking like kind of an old team.

Always fun to read the Game thread. You guys were pretty much jumping off cliffs. Gotta remember to never doubt Lillard.
Glad they pulled out a win on the second of a B2B they needed. Of course we all wish it was easier but it never gonna be easy in the bubble.

    Some things i am noticing.
    - There are no fans and there is really no home court. Seems this bubble experience is much different from playing on the road or in front of your home crowd. Even rotational players seem to be hitting shots they make in practice.
    - The calls don't seem to be the same either. Refs seem to be calling games better for the most part. Yes there have and will always be questionable calls. But they are not getting caught up in the hype.
    - Have you noticed players cannot look up at the big screen above the game like in regular games. When there is a call they cannot argue as much because they can't look up and see a replay. I like that aspect.
    - I like the calls on players talking back to the refs also. The game is basketball so go play the game. T a dude up for running his mouth.

Parts of the bubble are much different. I think we are seeing a much better brand of basketball and the playing field is much much closer in this situation. I wonder if it will continue in the playoffs?

 I've been saying this for awhile now. Some fans like to talk about how young the team is, but the rotation isn't young at all. The youth (eg Simons, Little, Gabriel, Brown, Hoard) isn't playing. The obvious exception is Trent. Even Collins has the end of his rookie deal in sight.

His old assistant has had a much much easier schedule. Also they are not so much worse now they are healthy also. Booker is playing very well.

nurk even said today in his postgame how he was thinking about potentially resting this game because of the miles he's putting on his body, but after losing yesterday and seeing Hassan out again today, he said he had to play. Said he was really sore, but knows we need the minutes.

As if Whiteside couldn't get worse in my list of most hated blazers ever, but this about does it. I get his injury might be a concern, but WTF man. You teammates need you and you don't give a shit seemingly. He better be behind Wenyen in the rotation from now, even if he's healthy.
