Stupid shit like this is why the media (of pretty much any stripe) is not to be believed in general. I know Trump has a lethal ego, and I know he is one of the dullest knives in the drawer, but (as much as I absolutely loathe him) I don’t believe for a second he was serious. He was trolling the left wing media and they ran with it exactly as he expected. He’s been claiming “fake news” his entire term and it’s stupid reactions like this that make his claims credible to too many people who are on the fence in 2020. He may very well desire his face on Rushmore. I desire to be rock star. We can desire all we want, at the end of the day he’s still a lame duck politician (whom history will excoriate) and I’m still a retired turd twirler. The media needs to work harder to expose the real truths, rather than taking the lazy way out with exaggerations. It’s exactly this kind of irresponsible reporting that is going to get that moron re-elected.
Trump can just fix Mt Rushmore with a black sharpie....only it'll have to be a stick figure of Trump because he never learned to make other shapes....
