MIAMI (Ticker) - The New York Mets are slumping a bit andOrlando Hernandez can change some of that when they visit theFlorida Marlins on Friday.

Hernandez (2-1, 2.53 ERA) makes his first starts since going inthe disabled list with right shoulder bursitis last month.In his last outing, the Cuban righthander was impressive, givingup four hits in seven scoreless innings against Atlanta on April24. Hernandez, who has won all three of his outings at DolphinStadium, is 3-1 with a 4.07 ERA in four career starts againstthe Marlins.

Florida counters with Sergio Mitre (2-2, 2.25), who aims forhis third consecutive winning start for the first time in hiscareer. Mitre has allowed five earned runs with a lowly 1.57 ERAover 28 2/3 innings over his four outings.

All-Star Miguel Cabrera stroked the game-winning double in the11th inning as the Marlins captured their fifth win in six gameswith a 5-4 victory over Philadelphia on Thursday.
