Interesting that the Suns are reversing what most teams have done and selling of their G league team to the Pistons. Wonder if the Corona virus is the main reason with revenues likely way down. Also will be interesting to see if G league teams become defunct if NBA teams end their financial support for a G league team. Money will likely be much tighter the next couple years.
I kind of wish the Pistons would put that G-League team in Flint. We could use some cheering up. Closest I've been to seeing NBA players in this town is walking past the restaurant (I use the term loosely) Mo Pete owns at the mall. (I also know a guy who claims to have beaten Mo Pete's team in the over-40's league championship...)
Being impartial, I really feel for them and their fans. I can only imagine how going undefeated in a dominating fashion, only to be told your not going to be in the playoffs, must feel. I know I would just be completely drained and devastated. The emotions must be all over the place. "Why did we even come out here?" "Why did I sacrifice time from my family during an epidemic?" I mean really its one of the shittier things Ive seen in sports.
Karma can be a bitch though. Just be careful who you chose to laugh at. Phoenix is going to be a good team for a while. Very young and on the rise.
a wise man told me you only make fun of things you like. I rooted for Nash and suns so I don’t mind if they do get better and would like to see it. But I don’t give 2 shits about karma from l*kers, they can rot in hell.
Me too but I thought we were talking about the Suns and not Lakers? Unless you hate the Suns like you do the Lakers? If this had happen to the Lakers, Id laugh my ass off. LOL.
it does feel shitty. But that’s the way life is. In retrospect, had they won one more game before the pandemic, they would have made it. Winning that one game could have come from a lack of execution during a handful of plays. That 8 game streak could have happened in the middle of the season and it wouldn’t have mattered if they finished the season on a negative note. Just goes to show how much it matters to win every game.
Same thing would've applied to the Blazers, imho. If they missed out by .5 games, they only have themselves to blame. Granted, the Suns won all of their games, but I think it still works. Had Portland not choked as many of the games away they did during the regular season (by either being ill prepared, or just played like ass), they wouldn't have HAD to win 6 games and hope that the Pelicans and Grizzlies lost as much as they did.
For the record, im not saying it should have been different. im just saying its shitty nonetheless its like a new season. So many trams have changed do to adding healthy players back , or losing them to the bubble, it just seems like a new season Nd just shitty. No doubt they are a victim of their own lack of early season success but im finding it hard to laugh aT, nonetheless.
